"he would not fucking say that" submas tier list, because canon is in itself a complicated construct

a.k.a. there are way too many continuities (4 main categories - mainline games, masters, anime, manga) so it gets confusing real quick. here's just some non-exhaustive rambles. the point is just that the distinction even has to exist. no tier is inherently good or bad.

tier 1: actually happens across all continuities

ingo loves trains, emmet loves battling

ingo is very polite

tier 2: only shown onscreen in 1 / some continuities, but is extremely plausible for the rest

ingo's ace is his chandelure (LA, masters, anime) and emmet's is his eelektross (masters, anime, technically BW if you count it being his exclusive mon for all his super lines battles)

emmet idolises ingo quite a fair bit (anime, masters)

elesa being besties with the twins (masters)

tier 3: only actually happened in 1 continuity, but would be out of place for other continuities

manga emmet Just Saying Things

the whole plot of legends: arceus kinda? ingo seems fine in the anime (where LA doesn't seem to have a full equivalent), he'll never return in the manga, masters hasn't touched on it

tier 3.5: only happened in 1 language, other languages don't have that part

spanish (was it specifically LatAm dub?) anime ingo swearing

tier 4: headcanon extremely plausible for all continuities, but never actually confirmed

autistic / neurodivergent in some way submas

ingo being a bona fide Railfan (like the fanbase)

tier 5: headcanon plausible for only 1 continuity, but less so for the rest

emmet breeding joltik probably goes here. cross poison galvantula being in the game inherently makes it plausible for game canon but nowhere else is he mentioned to have a galvantula to even begin with. was debating on whether to put this in the tier below because he technically didn't have to breed, he could've just traded.

I think about pokemon in non-battle situations a lot. Like pokemon who have been trained/raised to be helpers and assistants than to be battle partners.

Pokemon visiting hospitals to cheer patients up like dogs and cats do. Or ones that help kids learn to read, speak, swim, go through therapy?! Even pokemon who’s abilities help owners with specific disabilities?!

I love thinking of pokemon outside of battle situations.

A Pokémon that can check a persons physical state, heart rate, and emotions? Audinos are probably one of, if not the ultimate, none rare Pokémon for this service mon series and probably the most commonly sought out because of how versatile they can be

It'd be cool if the move Wish could be used on said trainer and Calm Mind for dizziness :0

The person here has POTS, their Audino alerted them before an episode could fully hit and is giving them liquid IV. I'd like to think Audino's have feathers and fur that lets them just hide things in the masses of fluff like salt packets and crackers.
