in my little pony universe youd go to a job interview and theyd be like so how does your cutiemark reflect your dedication to this position. And every time youd have to spew some bullshit about how your cutiemark of two tennis rackets actually means youre a team player and good at multitasking and view the market like a playing field. or whatever. and you wouldnt even get the job
i've got the kind of eyebags that make people in movies say 'you look like hell, detective. go home.'
My favorite part of Hadestown is you come for the pretty music and the love story and then you get beat on the head repeatedly by the reminder that the rich use and exploit our bodies for their own gain and we'll never be free until we join together and rise up against them
i will go to bat for the fact that most of the queer coded villains you see aren't queer coded but specifically transfeminine coded
i think if you can explain the queer coding as "character displays femininity while being a man/mannish and it's portrayed as humorous or monstrous" what you're dealing with is transmisogyny, not some ephemeral "queer coding"

Are there any objectively bad pieces of media that you like?
I mean like a book with a bunch of plot holes or a game that's pay to win or wtv

Totally normal for a legitimate for-profit company to refuse to reclaim or stop running their products even after they're no longer being paid to do so. I'm sure it's very normal to just keep running your service for free when your contract's been terminated. Spending money to continue running cameras that supposedly no one is looking at is definitely not an indicator they are just run by the federal government to spy on everyone and only a wacko conspiracy theorist would think so.

for those like me that want proof this is real:
Your post about discomfort is going around again, and I’m curious- what is the problem with sexual harassment if not that it makes someone uncomfortable? Obviously in a workplace it’s simply inappropriate conduct, but what about two strangers in public? Obviously you’re not the ultimate authority on this, but I’d be interested to hear your thoughts.
what is the problem... with sexual harassment...
Yeah I've seen people talk about how shaving is not a choice for some people because of safety, which is a valid criticism of the anti-shaving movement, but that shouldn't be a factor at all, no one should be unsafe for not shaving a part of their body. I guess saying that doesn't really change that there's still many ways our bodies are not our own
"the anti-shaving movement"
do you think maybe the fact that some people (predominantly women and people perceived as such) are pressured to shave is actually not grounds for criticizing the so-called anti-shaving movement but proof that they are, in fact, making a pretty good point?
it's kind of like going "well some people HAVE to work 20 hours a day, which is a valid criticism of the labor rights movement" like. is it? or is the labor rights movement in fact trying to secure better pay for people without necessitating 20 hour days?
i wasn't aware how much i hated reeve carney until eva noblezada posted him on her instagram singing the us national anthem. she said something like "i'm so proud, this is so beautiful and touching" and it actually sounded profoundly bad. i haven't seen the hadestown proshot yet and it scares me
Eva Noblezada every day of her fucking life
the tension between the genuine cleverness of the joke and the incompetence implied by putting it on two-sentence horror is what makes this for me
