It is tough...
I am a nineteen year old young lady who is starting an art business with her beloved boyfriend. That sentence alone holds so many ideas that are turned down in the society that we live in. People think that women donât belong in the business world, yet alone one of my age. People, like one of my professors, donât think that art is something to put your life into. Lastly people think that going into business with someone that you are in a relationship with is complete blasphemy. Well let me give me give you a little more insight. I am currently a student attending the college of business looking to obtain my degree in Finance. So I am taking classes that teach me the things needed to manage a small business. Art may not be something that many people can make a living off of but with a masters in Art, you can obtain the same job and salary as my professor. And as for going into business with my other half, we may have different mindsets but those mindsets are needed to create a good team. It is tough trying to fit in at conventions, but that doesnât mean i will give up. It is tough being a woman in the business world but I wont give in. It is tough managing a business with your other half but that wont be the end of us. I love the life I live and I donât plan on changing a damn thing.Â

Im not really good at this so here is a look at my little business and the other half of the Artistic Couple at the recent Realms Con. This was not our first con, in fact last year we had vendors putting us down and telling us that we were not going to make it. That was not the case this year! We had amazing neighbors that encouraged us when were at our worst and helped send business our way. Over all, the experience was amazing and we are more determined than ever to take on the next convention! (p.s. RIP his adorable cat ears /.\)
