I painted the base layer of this piece about 4 months ago, and it has been waiting, patiently, for my return. "If it seems slow, WAIT FOR IT". I am feeling this verse today. It seems like I have been chasing the vision, impatient for the vision, trying to move the vision along more quickly. However, this verse reminds me that the seeds planted in me will grow not only in time, but at the RIGHT time. Any effort to force the issue ruins the process and threatens the outcome. So, for me, 2019 will be put to rest and I pray I have learned the lessons brought through striving, and hurting and reaching and pushing. It may take the insecurity, rejection and pain with it, too. 2020 is a new opportunity and I have enough of everything I need to be successful, thank you God. So I thought I would play around with saturation of a single color on a canvas. The original thought was to have this layer be a background with additional paint layered on, but I loved it so much as is. This is actually poured paint, but manipulated in such a way to give movement, texture and depth.
