I’m sorry but I need to rant. Recently, I’ve been experiencing far worse judgement and negativity all around me. I need to get some things off my chest.
There is absolutely no fucking excuse for judging someone’s interests, hobbies, or identifications. This world is so fucked up with negativity already and we don’t need more people who take out their own insecurities on innocent things and people. I can understand if the person’s hobby, interest, or identification is self-harmful, illegal, or plain morally wrong, but if you make someone feel like shit for an innocent part of them that they obviously love for a reason, then you deserve to feel like shit. Some things might seem “weird” to you and you might not understand it, but obviously that person or those people you hate oh-so much have their reasons for loving it, taking part in it, or identifying with it.
As a person with innocent hobbies and interests that are pretty hated by the public for absolutely no reason, it really does make me feel like shit. But that is the people who hate’s goal, I suppose. They pick and choose what they see as wrong and right and dehumanize the innocent people for doing something they “don’t like”. That’s plain fucking stupid.
Usually the trait the toxic people are attacking people for is something innocent that is very close and dear to the person’s heart. The reason that they attack these innocent interests, hobbies, or identifications of people is because it is something close to the person. These people are so full of toxicity that they want so badly to attack the thing nearest to the person’s heart. Hitting them right where it hurts. This behavior seems plain sociopathic to me and many others.
If you are a person who finds themselves recently attacking other people for a harmless part of them that they care about just because it’s “weird” or because you don’t “like it”, I want you to find the nearest mirror. Go to that mirror. Stand in front of that mirror and take a look at yourself. You inflicted mental harm onto someone innocent for something innocent that they deeply and truly cared about. Look deep into yourself and find the route of your toxic, sociopathic ways and try to fucking fix them.
