Once every four years, the most elite athletes come together in a show of excellence to show off their talents and fight to win the ever elusive gold medal. For the duration of the Olympics, their every move is captured by reporters and fans, making them world-wide celebrities almost instantly. But what happens once the medals are awarded and the athletes return to their daily lives? For some, things settle down, but for others it’s just the start of another four years of intense training and work.

After a slight hiatus due to classes, I'm back and ready to look over any apps you may want to send in. We're in the process of planning a Christmas related event, so stay tuned for that.

how long does it take to accept?

Assuming our schedules allow it, we’ll look over applications ever Sunday and Wednesday. Sometimes we’ll do it other days if we know we’ll be busy, it just depends.

We're kicking off our fall festival event today. Everyone should send in some apps and come join us!

Attention all Olympic athletes and staff. With the fall season in full swing, the IOC has planned another event to bring the athletes together for a time. In line with the ISU Grand Prix of Skating, the IOC is running a fall festival in line with the athletics of the 2013 Skate Canada competition. The event will be held from Friday, October 25th through Sunday, October 27th. All athletes and staff are encouraged to attend and there will be much to do throughout the weekend. If any athletes or staff need assistance finding a hotel in New Brunswick, Canada for the event, IOC staff will be available to assist with the booking.

Admin Note: The event will run from Friday to Sunday this weekend and takes place in St. John, New Brunswik, Canada. More information about the event will be posted later in the week, this is just to get things set up! All starters surrounding the event should be tagged with rtrevent, just so everyone knows you’re a part of it. All of these interactions will be face-to-face and paras are highly encouraged through the week!

The next event starts officially tomorrow, so anyone looking to send in apps that wants to take part should do so by tomorrow afternoon!

Any of them, but we’d love to see more winter athletes around since the winter Olympics are coming up fast.
