R:AMA takes place in a alternate timeline of DELTARUNE, wherein the player ends up choosing "Give Up" on the game over screen, causing the world to be covered in endless darkness, taken by the roaring. now, 1,000 years after the roaring, the player finds themselves drawn back into the world they abandoned, tasked with fixing what they did. gifted with their previously discarded vessel they had curated themself, they journey out into the new, bleak, nightscape they find themself in. You are the only one who can bring back the light. You are also the one who caused it all to disappear.

[CONCEPT] ROARINGS FORGOTTEN TITAN CULT PART 2: MODERN AGE.

Although as a whole Perfection In Shadows had fallen apart, there were still stragglers from each party who still wanted to continue their beliefs. Over the next 500 years, both of these groups would grow on their own, constantly being at odds with one another, and their origins as one group, and PERISH as a whole, would be forgotten to time. Those who wanted to use the Titans would devolve into righteous "law"-carrying coalition of bandits and raiders that would continue directly in PERISH's footsteps, adapting the wrappings and robes into TITAN-LIKE disguises and armor. They would go under the new name of "The Hunters".

Meanwhile those who wanted to understand the Titans would evolve from simply understanding them to worshipping another thing entirely, that thing would end up being a deity they call "Migration", also known as THE MOON. They originally would hope to reach an understanding of the Titans through communication with their Deity, but, at some point, they had shifted their goals into protecting those who needed travel, or protection from the Titans, hoping to preserve their people until an understanding with the Titans could be reached, if at all. These people would go under the name "Servants of Migration".

Both of these "Groups" have specific thoughts towards ARIRONG. The Hunters believe ARIRONG to be a sin for both being a "Titan tainted by soul" and for having absorbed a soul in the first place (something that is against their "Laws") On the other side, Servants of Migration treat ARIRONG with a deep sense of reverie, being a Titan that can feel, understand, and conversate. This is the closest they've ever gotten to their goal. (Fun fact: Cate is loosely tied to the Servants of Migration.)

[CONCEPT] ROARING'S FORGOTTEN TITAN CULT.

The Titan Cult, also known as "Perfection In Shadows" or "PERISH" for short, was a very old cultist movement that went extinct 500 years ago, originally started sometime around year 200 of ROARING this group worshipped the Titans and saw them as "Perfect Beings" sent down to cleanse the imperfection from their planet. Those aligned with PERISH would wear ceremonial robes and wrappings made to mimic their look, and would search to understand the Titans, and their motives. Often times, they would end up scouting and drawing attention to non-PERISH-aligned groups and settlements to draw the Titans to them, believing that all that do not believe in PERISH should be removed and are of lesser creatures compared to them.

The falling of Perfection In Shadows: PERISH fell around 500 years ago due to a multitude of reasonings and conflicts, the biggest of which, had to do with inner conflicts inside of PERISH itself, mainly consisting of two parties, Those who wanted to use the Titans and help them in their goal of cleansing the planet of imperfection (and chased that perfection themselves), and Those who wanted to understand the Titans and reach a peaceful agreement between their species. Tensions would rise between these two beliefs over the years, with it all coming together on YEAR 500. on year 500 of ROARING, PERISH was at the peak of their tension, and it quickly began a form of civil war between the two beliefs which, all-in-all, did not end well for all parties involved, as all of this conflict ended up contracting the attention of the Titans and Titanspawn, who ended their conflict through force extermination from their "Saviours".

[CONCEPT] WHATS UP WITH THE MOON IN ROARING?

Although the sky is coated in darkness, painting the sky black and preventing all sunlight from coming through, the moon still plays a semi-important part in the "culture" of the ROARING landscape. These two explanations are examples of that, Happy Reading!

Burning Events: The "Burning Event" is a natural (if rare) ROARING phenomenon where the darkness that coats the sky becomes just thin enough for the dim light of the moon to shine through, the effect of being filtered through pure darkness is that the moons rays are compacted and focused into a large spotlight-esc beam of moonlight being shown onto the earth's surface. This beam of moonlight, being a large source of natural pure light, can easily burn away Titan and Titan-spawn that come into contact with its rays.

When a Burning Event occurs, Wandering Survivors will often congregate into the safe-zone created by the natural light, and migrate to wherever the light takes them. This also brings a ton of risk with it as well, from raiders and bandits looking to pick off the migrators, to large swaths of Titanspawn or even Titans disturbed by the unfamiliar phenomenon, all sorts of dangers are drawn in by the moonlight, so being careful is imperative if you are going to travel with the Burning Event.

Mythos:

In what culture exists in the lands of the ROARING, you'll find that there are specific terms created for things lost and then re-found in the past 1000 years. One of these things is the moon. While the moon is decently understood as a physical object, it is often referred to as the "Guiding Light" due to the nature of Burning Events providing both Safety in combination with Travel, With the moonlight burning through the Titans and their spawn in combination with the movement of the light guiding travelers, it's certainly a wide-known phenomenon.

There are even those who worship the moon, calling it a "Deity of Migration", or just "Migration". Those who worship the moon call themselves "Servants of Migration" and will often take it upon themself to protect migrators whenever a Burning Event does occur, and when their deity isn't calling their aid, they perform rituals to commune with their deity and call upon them to protect travellers, even if not in the form of a Burning Event. Their main adversaries are a group of bandits and "lawmakers" known as "The Hunters", and there is evidence that they have been fighting for over 500 years at this point, with the origin and reasoning behind their conflict being forgotten with time.

Facts about absorbing souls:

USER = the one who absorbed the soul OWNER = the spirit the soul is connected to.

When a soul is absorbed, it is stored in the body alongside the main soul (standardly, this is represented as it being below the main soul physically)

The absorbed soul is used as a sort of "battery", allowing the user to pull from that soul for magic and energy. this is an exhausting process for the absorbed, and if strained too much, can crack or even break the soul, since it only has a loose structural connection to the users body, the soul itself is still extremely fragile.

An absorbed soul's owner is not allowed to move on to the afterlife until their soul breaks as the spirit of the soul's owner is trapped inside of the soul itself.

Absorbing a soul does not transform the user in most cases. (barring exceptions like Arirong)

Absorbing souls is no longer dependant on species, although, absorbing a soul the same type as your own has consequences (much like cannibalization)

It was a common myth that absorbing souls would bring the user closer to GODHOOD, although that may have been true at one point, the ROARING's altering of reality seems to have changed that if it was the case.

It is not possible for an absorbed soul's owner to communicate with it's user. if the user allows, even subconsciously, it is however possible for a soul's owner to influence it's user in many ways, in cases like Arirong's, even deliberate control of their limbs, like a sort of impulse reaction from the absorbed soul itself.

What was the fate of Lancer's father, King, when the Roaring occurred? Thereafter, what is his general business and overall disposition following his eventual restoration and residence in New Hometown?

(sorry this took so long to answer! I genuinely could not figure out what to draw for this nor how to draw king)

King was an odd case when the ROARING occured. He went from a sulking monarch to a ruthless leader, taking initiative as one of the hometown protection coordinators during the initial outbreak. After Hometown was overrun, He would wander the dark, mostly looking for his son after they got separated. (Lancer went with Susie and Gerson.) by the time King found his son, the time was already up, and his boy was a statue. although he and Lancer are separated by the time you arrive, originally, his statue was found on it's knees, staring downwards at the Lancer statue. it's unknown how long he stayed in that position before he turned to stone.

After New Hometowns Light Fountain is formed, King takes position as one of the "Royal Coordinators" (a position he shares with Queen), Mainly overseeing the towns protection from anything outside the fountains barriers. Although he is rather busy, he always makes time for his son when Lancer isn't off saving the world from the roaring (He shares custody with Queen, who he has since repaired his relationship with enough for them to work together without bickering… much.)

Thought I'd do a tad bit of explanation on how this world works for anyone new or just unaware, apologies if this is a bit sloppy, I'm getting the hang of the format. ROARING:AMA's world runs under functionally different rules than DELTARUNE due to the roaring. It sort of merged their worlds rules, such as making Darkners actual beings instead of objects, as well as bringing the rules of battles and magic from the dark world into the light world, albeit a bit changed. Another factor of this merge was that DARK WORLDS and the ability to create DARK FOUNTAINS ceased possibility, with all that's left of the dark worlds being small chunks with the unknown cliffs area eye etched into their surface. While other beings could create Dark Fountains, it is only possible for you, your SOUL, to create a LIGHT FOUNTAIN, by channeling your DETERMINATION. your PURPOSE. These "Light Fountains" create an area around itself that acts as a barrier from Titans and Titanspawn, alongside being able to UNPETRIFY darkners from their statue state. as long as their statues are in good enough condition, the darkner can be unpetrified, but if they are not in good condition, and you cannot find enough to repair them closely enough, they cannot be unpetrified. a darker, if they were to leave the area of a Light Fountain, will petrify once more in the space of half an hour. Lancer, however, is an exception to this rule, as he does not use the light from the Light fountain to stay unpetrified, but your SOUL's light instead!

a Titan Spawn that absorbed a Cattenheimer Descendants Soul and became Truly Sentient, Defecting from the Titans and becoming their own person, alongside joining us on our mission.
