Whether it's your scripture mastery or getting your MBA, it takes a serious, almost obsessive crazy-like FOCUS to become a MASTER at something.
Thanks to my (now a three-year-old) daughter, I have all of the 'My Little Pony’ characters memorized. It took a lot of work, but with her extensive training program, (includes 12 set DVD,) I was able to achieve the dream!
BFFs.
This is key for my sales reps, but don't you think this could also apply to LDS missionaries? To those who have done both, what are your thoughts?
Two quick updates
Two things: 1st if you find a quote you like on Pinterest, share it on my Robert Dean Barrett Facebook page wall and I'll repost it as one the quote pages via your name. (Pages combined have 230k fans). 2nd I am looking for volunteers to do graphic design work at my media & advertising firm. For that you can message me directly if you're interested. :)
There is always that one person who was supposed to be there for you, however; had repeatedly failed to do so. There is always that husband who has continuously ignored his wife, the wife who will not stop nagging her husband or the child who talks back to their parents. You probably even have already given up trying to work with this person. We try to convince ourselves that we need to stop her behavior or that we’re excused for having become numb to his lack of attention that it is okay that you have already given up entirely on him. Yet, the more you try to force her to change, put up a wall so that he cannot hurt you anymore or do the opposite your parents say just to prove they don’t own you, then the more he ignores you, she nags why you’re not listening or your kids push the limits with how much they can get away with against you. It is in these trying times that we see what it feels like to be in charge and yet feel utterly powerless. And, that is exactly how we’re supposed to feel. Because it is in these moments that we get a glimpse into what it must feel like to be God. Because God does not just see your husband stonewall, your wife nag or your child be defiant—He sees the one that you never see—He sees you. And, no matter how much you ignore Him, blame Him or deny Him, He chooses never to force you to change. And, no matter how much you betray Him, He chooses never to give up on you in this lifetime. To be like God means in this life time we can never give up on anyone—even if they deserve it. And, this is because, Heavenly Father does not think you deserved it either.
