This game can be summed up in one word: addictive! It is perfect for anyone that is looking for a decent time-killer app as you can enjoy this game anywhere. I found I was playing at the bus stop, in front of the television and even whilst I was waiting for the kettle to boil! The beauty of this app is that you can pick it up and enjoy it whether you have half an hour to spare, or even just half a minute.
One of the massive selling points to this game is its simplicity; you really can play it if you are anyone, it’s suitable for males or females, of any age, from 4 to 100! Something that really appealed to me is that in Fly Piggy there are no complicated systems for tapping or swiping. When you press your finger down, the piggy flies up and that is all there is to it! This means that within seconds of downloading it onto your device you can be playing it, with no annoying demo modes to have to churn through.
I loved the fact that this app was free of all the messy, extraneous stuff that fills up a lot of games similar to this and slows them down. It is pure, honest fun and doesn’t constantly pop up asking you to buy anything. As a frequent iOS game player, I also appreciate the iAds system used for advertisements in this game. The adverts have been placed carefully to not affect the simplicity of playing this game, and they only pop up when clicked.
Aside from all that game-play stuff, I promise you that you will become attached to the cute little piggy! I ended up creating all sorts of nicknames for him in my head! You can become lost in this game, swooping through the air to avoid all of those tricky obstacles on an exciting one way trip! I spent endless time dodging the planes, houses and fences, only to run into a pesky cloud or crash into the ground! It is for these reasons however that this app can contend with the big players in the iOS gaming world, such as Angry Birds, or Jetpack Joyride. You play it, get frustrated and then play it all over again! Getting a top score by flying as far as possible has never been so captivating.
As I am pretty competitive, OK, very competitive (!), I just had to show all my friends and family Fly Piggy. Talking about it and encouraging others to download it is made a lot easier by the handy links to social networking sites on the home page. I couldn’t help it; I needed to know whether my top score was higher than theirs! It doesn’t matter if you and your friends are not on all the different social networks either, as you can link to this app on Facebook on facebook.com/flypiggy1, Twitter on @Flypiggy1 or simply via email! Luckily for me, I have keener reflexes than all of them and my high score is still the highest!
As someone who spends a bit too much time downloading games such as these, I can truthfully say that this is really one of the best; simple, user-friendly, addictive and most of all: FUN! Anyway, where is my iPhone again? Better get back to playing Fly Piggy…..
