Something very interesting to note is that Azula is the first person to tell Zuko that his honour is not contingent on Ozai but his own actions.

Even Iroh, until the end of book 2 assures, or tries to, that Ozai loves him, Azula never does anything like that.

Honestly, if you have read the legacy of fire nation, iroh is almost delusional when it comes to how Ozai treated his children and avoids putting direct blame on him for the animosity between azula and zuko
