Just completed 10 Eastern North Carolina BBQ meals in 3 days. Apparently, I took the concept of "Whole Hog" to mean jamming an entire pig into my belly.

On Canada's 150th birthday, even RobMerica can get into the act! New Brunswick's Campobello Island - located in the Bay of Fundy - was the summer estate of President Franklin Roosevelt. It is also where he fell ill, and contracted polio. So Happy Canada Day everyone!

135 years ago today, Jesse James was shot in the back while he hung a picture on his wall. This is his final resting place in Kearney, MO.

Side Note: Who puts flowers on Jesse James' grave? While you're at it, I'm sure Baby Face Nelson and Lee Harvey Oswald have graves that need tending as well.

It's International Women's Day, and what better way to celebrate than to spend it with a whole slew of Eleanor Roosevelts! This is from a visit I made a couple years ago to Val-Kill, her home along the Hudson River.
