@gamfcowboy
Werenât cowboys history by now? Well, apparently they werenât, since Bastion was looking at one right this moment. The only reason they could think of for someone to dress up like that would be for some sort of reenactment. OH, maybe they were just in time for the show!
@wingedwanderer
Wow, that was one huge peregrine falcon! Bastion felt like the luckiest nature-lover on the planet. It was a good thing that they had decided to do a little bird watching before making their trek through the forest. WaitâŠ.does that falcon look a bitâŠ.humanoid? It seemed that further inspection was required.
Ash was perched midway up a large tree, atop a particularly sturdy branch. This forest was so large⊠so far from other people. Quiet except for the sound of birds - their favourite soundscape.
It wasnât long before they noticed the sound of something decidedly mechanical, though. It wasnât very loud, but it was definitely there. What was it?
They turned around to look in the direction the sound seemed to be coming from, and spotted⊠a robot. In the middle of the forest. The falcon hybrid regarded it with a look of genuine confusion. Why was it here?
The bastion unit was genuinely confused now. There wasnât any natural reason for a bird to look like a human, was there? Maybe theyâve been offline for longer than they thought. Their zoom function didnât seem to help much either, since the other being seemed to be a bit too far away to make out any details. Â They decided to test something and gave the figure a wave. Perhaps, if they were remotely human, theyâd respond.

The heat was more than welcomed, despite it not being much. Bastion couldnât exactly process who was speaking to them, but at the very least they knew that the other, or others, were trying to help. When instructed to move quickly, they managed to convert their bipedal legs into two tank treads to help with mobility. It was a sluggish procedure, but they managed to pull it off. Bastion moved with as much haste as they could put out without damaging themselves.
 The monks flinched around them to see him change, but still the figures huddled around him, until the flags, whipping violently in the wind could be spotted. There were murmurs, chattering voice-boxes in the native tongue. More omnics came from the warm halls to assist, some seeming to accost the white robed one leading them, one even tugging at his sleeve before he brushed him off.  With every bit of energy they could spare, they rolled the bastion into the main hall of the monastery, hurrying to close the door behind them. A portable stove was brought in to warm him, along with several blankets as they pressed against the plating. â Youâre safe now, friend.â
Certainly, this was the most kindness the Bastion unit had gotten since theyâve reactivated! In all honesty, the blankets werenât doing too much for them due their internal heat not reaching that far yet, but the gesture was more than welcome. However, the stove helped a lot! They could feel  some of the ice that had formed staring to melt off. They nodded and verbalized a friendly beep that vaguely sounded like a âthank youâ.

What an honor it was to see a member of the Shambali! It was a shame there were so many people around. However, Bastion expected this to be a problem for them. There was a reason everyone knew about them, whether fondly or âbiased-ly â. The automation watched the group of monks traverse through the crowd that had gathered from an alleyway. There was no way theyâd ever get close that crowd without causing panic.
@gildedgoldwords
Maybe traveling through the mountains wasnât the best plan Bastion had. They could detect that some of their wiring starting to frost over despite their main power source radiating so much heat. They wereât sure how much long theyâd be able to last. WaitâŠ.were those lights they saw?
 A diamond grid flickered in the flurry of snow, accompanied by larger orange blazes following along. It was not often that premonition allowed a search party to go out into the storm, but after hearing the sound of something large trudging through the snow, it warranted investigation. Silent hands guided the giant forward, their torches providing a small amount of warmth, for fear of thawing him too quickly or frying his wires. â Come on. quickly as you can go. Iris bless our luck to find you.â

It was magnificent. Ever since Bastion found a picture of them, they knew they simply had to find it. They had traveled all the way to Japan just to see a real one, and now it was resting right in front of them. A Golden Pheasant. Bastion was so enthralled with the bird that they didnât register that there was someone approaching them.
What was a Bastion doing in Japan? Concern rises in him and he tails the robot through the city. He watched them, coming to notice the little bird that rested on his shoulder. How odd⊠Hanzo keeps his bow at the ready, just incase. When they finally come to a stop, itâs because of a pheasant. A pheasant? He silently jumps down, stowing his bow on his back. âAre you here⊠to look at birds?â Hanzo asks aloud, making himself known.
Bastionâs head pop up in surprise, letting out a short âBeep!â which subsequently scared off the pheasant. Oh well, at least it was saved in their data banks. Bastion stood up straight and turned around to face the other. it took them a moment to process the question before nodding. Of course, their interest was much broader than that, but they couldnât exactly convey that vocally.

@numbanirobotist
Bastion was quite fond of Numbani. Seeing all the greenery along side new age technology was a pleasant change of pace form some of the other larger cities theyâve seen. Not having too many people giving you nasty glares was a nice bonus too. That is until they noticed someone staring for an extended period of time. Frankly, Bastion was starting to feel a bit uncomfortable the longer the pair of eyes were on them.
@the-merciful-angel
Have the long years of being deactivated finally caught up to Bastion, or were they actually seeing someone that was impersonating a bird? They had the wings and the bright colors and all. Perhaps a closer look was in order.

Bastion slowly sinks their head into itâs chassis, not expecting the amount of people showing up. It was nice to know that people wanted to meet and talk with them, considering their model's infamous history, but it was still daunting.
Hello, this is a brand new rp blog for Bastion from Overwatch. I would love to meet as many people as i can, so if you could kindly like/reblog this post and iâll be sure to check your blog out!
