Orange, AKA Logan's biggest diehard fan. If Logan has one fan it's orange. if he has ZERO fans than orange is DEAD. Orange values Logan's input more than everyone else COMBINED.
excited to find out how close or far my idea is from how Orange will be in canon lmao
Right y’all 😮💨—we worked our way though over 5,000 responses for our survey on writing in the age of AI.
We crunched the numbers, made some lovely infographics, gathered a ton of phenomenal quotes, data’d the data—and shared the results over on our blog.
Who’s ready for some pie charts?!🧵🧵
First thing’s first… AI generated content is remarkably unpopular.
Almost all of you believe that human provenance is a must. (And we couldn’t agree more.)
This one came as a bit of a shock: nearly half of all respondents felt their work could be mistaken for AI.
And almost all of you (99.5%) think AI content should be clearly labeled.
Thank you to the thousands of writers who took the time to complete the survey. Together, you wrote over 500,000 words—that’s a heck of a mighty tome! You can read the full report over on our blog.
We’ll be breaking down more of our findings throughout this week, as well as sharing more of the fantastic text responses we received!

Summary: Kurt prepares for an abnormal Friday morning at the museum.
Any other day, Kurt would take a Friday morning to start cleaning their house. They would wake up at 7, make coffee for Dominic and tea for himself, and then get a headstart on cleaning while Dom makes breakfast. Then, when Dominic heads out for work, he keeps cleaning until 4, brings her husband a late lunch, and then spends time doing curating work until close, when they get dinner together. Perhaps it was a tad idyllic, but 5 years of pining, 6 more of dating, and 6 more of endless emails and construction costs and careful preservation should not lead to anything less than.
However, this Friday was an abnormal one. You see, Dominic had double-booked his elementary school tour sessions, meaning that, if Kurt were to do any cleaning at all this weekend, they must either skip lunch with his husband, or push her brunch with Elliot back an hour or two the next day. Either way, unfortunate. However, the rumor was that he would be giving Bill's new class a tour. They wouldn't expect Bill to be good with kids, but perhaps she'd be surprised.
And it would be nice to have a conversation with him again.
Kurt rolled out of bed at 6 in the morning, made a quick cup of tea and coffee, and started preparing for his day at work. They got dressed in a set of dress pants, a blue turtleneck for once, and his leather jacket. At this point, Dominic was up making breakfast. Today, omelets.
“Good morning, darling.” Kurt said, kissing Dominic on the cheek.
“Good morning my…love.” Dominic said, yawning. He flipped the omelet base in the pan, and sprinkled in a handful of cheese.
“Did you drink the coffee I prepared for you?” Kurt asked?
“Oh, yeah, it was perfect, I needed it after yesterday, I'm sorry I got home so late, one of the kids broke open the cabinet with the gemstones inside and dropped the amethyst crystal, luckily it didn't break it just let me notice the cabinet was open, y’know? I should clarify he didn't shatter the glass on the cabinet he just managed to straight-up pop the glass off of the front, and I have absolutely no idea how he did that, maybe the sealant we used was too cheap, which is a shame, but I guess I saw it coming, y’know?”
“I see. Well, I'll make sure to add better sealant for the glass fixtures to the budget for this month. I only wish you would have called me when it happened, I purchased an extra bucket of the stuff in the case that something like this did happen, you know. Well, as long as the glass didn't shatter, of course, but even if it did, surely there was some glass in the back that we could have hurriedly cut into shape, I didn't invest in that tungsten carbine cutter for nothing, you know. Of course, I know there is a preference for traditional glassblowing techniques, but this was an emergency. But, I digress, did you manage to get it taken care of?”
“Yup!” Dominic said, flipping the omelet with the pan.
“Excellent flip, darling.” Kurt remarked.
“Thank you! Oh, also, are we driving down together today, or are you coming down separately?”
“I suppose it would be more efficient for us to drive down together, however, I had half-expected to leave after lunch to hopefully get started on cleaning before I worked on the audit, considering I have a tour to give today too. Unless of course, you'd think it more ideal that I push brunch back tomorrow, but I'd ought to call Elliot sooner rather than later, I always feel bad changing plans with him last minute, and then I'd also have to change the reservation at The Brunch House, which is a hassle. I don't want to miss spending more time with you, darling, but I'm sure you can see why I thought it more ideal to go separately. What do you think would work better?”
“Well definitely don't call Elliot this early in the morning, he doesn't get up until 9 most days. Perks of working the night shift, I suppose. But yeah, I think it's better if we drive separately then!” Dominic answered. He placed the omelet onto a second plate, and pulled a first plate out of the microwave. He topped both with a few slices of avocado, before bring them both to the table.
“This looks delicious, my dear.” Kurt said.
“Why, thank you.” Dominic grinned.Breakfast was quiet, which wasn't unusual for them, but usually the sun was a little higher in the sky by the time Kurt finished eating. But, prior engagements, and all that. When finished, they placed their dishes in the sink, gave Dominic a kiss, and grabbed her motorcycle helmet on the way out the door.
-
It had been a long time since Kurt had opened up shop, but he knew that Dominic's tour would be there in less than an hour, and their tour immediately after, so she wanted Dom to be able to arrive ready to go. He unlocked the entrance doors, turned on all of the lights, and began the daily testing of the new mobile speaker system Dominic had installed.
“Good morning,” he said to himself. Practice makes perfect, you know. “My name is Kurt MacDavenshireford Quesenberry. I am here, testing the speaker system of the building, and-” Kurt's voice rang out over the PA system. Each room had its own localized set, and Dominic had perfected the spotting on them. That way, tours could be given over the speakers without disrupting the whole building, and mics could be turned off and on at will, and still work at every location. It truly was ingenious. At some point, Kurt resorted to singing, which was a pleasant surprise for Dominic to walk in to.
“Hey, Kurt!” Dominic said, coming down from the top floor of the museum.
“Welcome in, my dear!”
“Any sign of my touring class yet?”
“Not that I've heard of. I have been a bit distracted with testing that new speaker system of yours. It might do well to check with Levi.”
“Oh, Levi's here?”
Kurt checked her watch. It was 6:40, and Levi didn't come in for another ten minutes. “Ah. No.”
Dominic could help but laugh. “Well, alright, I'll be upstairs, let me know when they're here!”
“Of course, darling!”
-
“I dreamed last night, I got on a boat to Heaven-”
“Guys and Dolls, right?” Levi said.
“Exactly.” Kurt said, caught slightly off-guard. “Good morning, Levi.”
“G’morning!” Levi responded.
Kurt paused again. “Ahem.”
“Oh! Uh, I mean,” Levi started, “Good morning, Mx. Quesenberry.”
“Thank you. Have you clocked in yet?”
“Not yet, give me two seconds to put my bag in the lounge.” Levi said, running backstage. Well, “backstage” is what they called it, because “inside the walls to the employee spaces” was a bit too much of a mouthful. Even for Kurt, although he can appreciate a good formal name for a location.
Ding!
“Ah, hello, Miss Amy.” Kurt said, instinctively taking their place at the front counter.
“Hello.” Miss Amy said, more focused on escorting the kids inside.
“Okay, I'm back- oh! Hey guys!” Levi said, jumping behind the counter as well, and quickly clocking in. Kurt, on the other hand, took this opportunity to sneak away.
“Levi, when my tour group shows up, take them to the mineral lab, would you?” Kurt asked. Levi nodded.
Kurt pulled out their phone to text Dominic.
‘your class is here.’
‘K! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️’
‘❤️ you too.’
-
‘Hey! Bill and his class are all ready and set up in lab 1’ Levi messaged Kurt. They didn't respond.
Instead, he made his way down to the lab. They closed the door from inside, and began to introduce herself.
Summary: Bill struggles to get his class onto the bus in time.
Bill stood up from his desk as the first bell rang in the school day. He held the door open as the kids started flooding in.
“Hey, Mr. Bill!”
“Good morning, Ryan!”
“Good morning, Mr. L!”
“Good morning, Rose! Good morning, Zoe! Hello, Julie!”
“Mr. Bill! Do you notice anything different about me??” Julie stopped at the door, as more kids ran in.
“Hm,” Bill got an email from Julie's mom about her new glasses. He played along, “Could it be… Your shoelaces!”
Julie and her friends giggled around him. “Nooooo! It's my glasses!”
“Oh! Of course!” Bill slapped his head, “How could I miss that! Alright, get to your seat, go, quickly, the bus comes in 30 minutes!” Bill said, escorting them inside.
“What's good, Big Billy?”
“Kai, don't call me that, that's inappropriate. You can call me Mr. Bill or Mr. L, okay?”
Kai scoffed and went to his desk. Maybe being transferred to teach second grade was a mistake, Bill thought. As the last kid trickled in, Bill walked inside and took his spot at the front of the classroom.
“Good morning, everyone!” He said.
“Good morning, Mr. Bill!” The class replied.
“Good morning, Mr. Willy.” Kai smirked.
Bill sighed. “Kai, you can't call me that. Where did you even hear that?”
“TikTok.” Kai said.
“One, you're 8, you shouldn't be on TikTok. Two, I'm going to need you to pull a card.”
“Aww…” Kai said, standing up and shifting his card from the green smiley (:D) to yellow (:)).
“Alright. Welcome to class, everyone! As I'm sure you all know, today we have a field trip to the local history museum!” The class cheered. “I'm sure we're all very excited, but before we can make our way there, I'm going to need your permission slips. Everyone pass your permission slips up to the front of the classroom.” As the kids started to move, one girl made her way up to the front.
“Mr. Bill… what if we don't have a permission slip?”
“That's a great question, Sophie. For those of you who don't have a permission slip, please stand up and meet me by the doorway.” Four other kids stood up, and lined up with Sophie in the back. Bill took the permission slips back to his desk.
“Okay, everything looks good here- Oh. Kai? Would you come here for a moment?” Kai stood up and walked over to the corner.
“‘Sup, Boss man?” Kai said, anxiously.
Bill sighed, again, “Kai, this signature from your mom is clearly forged.”
“You don't have proof of that.”
“I do, actually, the pencil you used is still sitting on your desk as we speak.”
Kai shifted his weight and looked down at his feet. “Oh, yeah, that… my mom said it was okay.”
“She did?” Kai nodded. “Alright, let me just call her to make sure-”
“NO! Don't- don't call her! She's, she said she's super busy, and, not to call her again, after last time.”
Bill stared at him. “Kai.”
Kai shrunk into himself. “Okay, yeah, I faked it.”
“Kai,” Bill said, grabbing his temple, “We're not even- just, go pull a card and go line up at the back.” Kai walked over and shifted his card from yellow to orange (:l).
“And make sure to grab some homework before you line up. This is a good opportunity to get caught up on it all.” Bill said from the back. Kai rolled his eyes.
“Okay, kids, I will be right back, before I go, here is an important instruction video for how to behave at the museum, okay? I'll be back.” Bill pressed play on the video, and took the kids without a permission slip out into the hallway.
“Alright, we've got Sophie, Alex, Mason, Joey, Ellie and Ka-” Bill looked up to see Kai not there, but instead sitting on the floor in his classroom. “Oh, it's too early for this,” Bill muttered to himself, before walking back inside.
“Kai.” Bill said, whispering.
“What? I'm watching the important video!”
“You were supposed to grab homework and follow me outside.”
“I know. I just didn't want to.”
Oh my Mulligan. “Kai. Grab your math book, and go out in the hall.”
“...fine. the museum's stupid anyway.” Kai said, grabbing his book and walking outside. Bill flipped Kai's card from orange to red (:().
-
“Okay,” Bill said, “So, for today, you guys are going to be monitored by Mrs. Cho, okay?” The kids shifted around nervously. “I know she can look like a scary old woman, but she's very kind, and she'll keep you safe, okay? Now stay close.”
Bill led the kids down the hallway to Mrs. Cho's classroom, and he politely knocked on the door.
“Ah! Hello, Mr. Bill!”
“Hello, Mrs. Cho. You're still able to watch the kids while I take the class on a field trip, right?”
“Oh, yes, yes, welcome, welcome! Come in, come take a seat in the back, stay comfortable!” Mrs. Cho held her door open for the kids.
“Thank you, again, by the way.”
“Ahh, yes, of course. Eh, how is Tony doing?”
“Oh! He's doing alright.”
“Staying out of trouble?”
“As far as I know? Probably? He's mentioned this Lavender Car thing, but I don't really…?”
“Ah, yes, the Lavender Car thing, yes, he has told me.”
“Oh, really?” Mrs. Cho nodded. “Huh. Well, speaking of trouble, here's the roster of the kids who are staying with you. Keep an eye on Kai, he's already pulled all the way down to red.”
“Mmm, I will keep an eye out. Enjoy the museum!”
“I will!” Bill said. “Thank you again!”
-
Bill walked back into his classroom, now decently loud due to the video finishing up while he was gone.
“Oh boy.” Bill walked up to the front of the room. Caitlyn and Julie's eyes popped up automatically. “One-Two-Three, Eyes on Me!” Bill announced.
“One-Two! Eyes on You!” The kids replied.
“Okay! What did we think of the video? Any questions?” A few hands popped up. “Yes, Jack?”
“How will we know which of the exi-bi-hits we can touch and stuff?” Jack asked.
“The interactive activities should be clearly marked with a green circle! But mostly, the ones you can't touch will be behind glass.”
“Like my mom's fancy dishes!” A girl named Eloise said.
“Exactly! Okay, who's next, um… Emily?”
“Do we get to pick which tour guide we go with?”
“I don't think so, unfortunately. They have a lot of people coming and going, so they probably pick the tour guide depending on the day.” Bill replied.
“I hope it's Dominic! His voice is stupid :>” Zoe said.
“That's not very nice to say about someone, Zoe.” Bill said.
“I hope it's Dominic too! That's the tour guide Lauren had last year!” A boy named Sawyer said.
“Yeah! And Kurt's scary :<” Rose said.
“What makes Kurt scary?” Bill asked.
“He uses all of those big words I didn't understand!” Ryan said.
“Yeah! And he stands like one of those statues at the Capitol Building!” Rose said.
“And he looks like one of those mean law people I saw in ‘On The Basis of Sex!’” A girl named Sara said.
“Where did you watch ‘On The Basis of Sex’?- Whatever, I understand your concern, but I can assure you, Kurt is a very good friend of mine. She won't hurt you.”
“Mr. Bill?” Caitlyn said.
“Yes?”
“Why did you call Kurt ‘she?’”
“Oh.” Bill said, biting his tongue. “I'm not supposed to really tell you this, but remember when I taught you about nouns, proper nouns, and pronouns?”
“Yeah?”
“Well, while most people respond to one set of pronouns, Kurt learned that they actually feel okay with responding to lots of different pronouns. Including he, she, and they.”
“Oh, okay!” Caitlyn responded.
“Mr. Bill, I have a question!” Jack said.
“Yes?”
“How do you learn which pronouns you like? Can you teach us??”
“Oh- uh- no, that's something I can't teach you. You have to figure that out for yourself, and it's something that could take a long time, and I'm really not allowed to be telling you anything like this, so maybe you should research it on your own. And maybe, don't, ask, your parents…” Bill said, immediately regretting it.
“Why not? My momma says if someone says to not tell, it's because it's unsafe and I should tell!” A boy named Eddy asked.
“Oh gosh- yeah, that's a really good piece of advice Eddy, but this kind of conversation is unsafe for me to be talking about, because the people in charge of the curriculum say it's inappropriate. And your parents might really, badly, not like it, so don't go telling everyone what I told you, okay? You can learn more about it when you're a little older.”
“Oh, is it like the thing about how Callie has two moms?” A boy named Max said.
“Yes, that, exactly that thing! Yes. I'm allowed to talk about it if it comes up, but I'm not allowed to teach you more.”
“Ohhhhh.” The class agreed.
“Anyway, what's the time- oh goodness! The bus is here! Alright, everyone get ready, line up, single-file, try to be close to people you want to sit by on the bus, and let's get moving!” Bill said.
-
As the row of students started making their way out of the classroom, Kai was standing in perfect eye contact with it. Last in line, as planned, was Marco, his best friend.
“Mrs. Cho? Can I go to the bathroom?” Kai asked.
“I don't know, can you?” Mrs. Cho replied.
“May I go to the bathroom?”
“Yes you may. Hurry back.”
Kai stood up and beelined for the door.
“Kai! You need the hall pass-” Alex said. Kai ignored him.
And Kai made his great escape, following his class outside and onto the bus, hiding during the head count.
Originally intended to be a one-shot, this fic's main characters are Bill and Kurt from the webseries So, Okay, Here's the Thing.
Rating: Teen
Summary: Bill takes his class on a field trip to the Natural History Museum of Urbington, which is owned, operated, and toured by Kurt and Dominic.
Kurt, as the tour guide, worries that Bill's method of professionalism isn't substantial enough. Bill, on the other hand, is more focused on teaching than professionalism. And besides, what 2nd Grader can pronounce "Quesenberry"?
Word count: 2,965 and counting!
Content Warnings: Sexual Innuendo
Note: this fic is going to have a lot of characters. I have made a supplementary post that lists the headcanons and the characters I am following in this fic here.
A few small things about my new fic, Hallowed Wings, that you may want to know before you read:
Info under the cut!
Canon-Adjacent: Bill in canon "grades essays", which implies that he is an upper-level or higher education teacher. In this fic, Bill is an elementary school teacher, for the sake of conflict between him and Kurt in the fic.
Headcanon: Kurt and Dominic, somewhere down the line, open a natural history museum together.
Tony's mom knows what the Lavender Car thing is.
Kurt and Elliot are friends. This relationship took a long time to build.
Kurt is more insecure than Dominic in their relationship (quote: "each of them secretly [wonder] how they managed to snag the other.")
Urbington is the name of the main city (as it is in Super Besties, and the Super Besties world is simply an alternate universe as opposed to a fully separate superhero entity), and everyone's houses are in Suburbington, right outside the city.
Crackhead Headcanon:
Bill's last name is Lewinspearicles.
Original Characters:
There are a lot of characters I made up for this thing, even just in the first chapter:

- Ryan, stereotypical cool kid (8)
- Rose, a little bit of a scaredy-cat (8)
- Zoe, will grow up to be a high-school bully (8)

I really liked that iconic monologue from AM for an Orange!logan 👀 I swapped around a chunk before he talked about being in hell to fit the drawings I initially did because I didn’t realize my mistake and didn’t want to change it so enjoy anyways :D
This pretty much follows a small headcanon that Logan and the organ side are the same person 🙊
