The L.A. band Fool's Gold is built around its two frontmen, Luke Top and Lewis Pesacov, but has a wildly oscillating, loosely structured outer ring of musicians, including some who've once been in The Fall (though to be honest, who hasn't?) and We Are Scientists. But indie rock this sure as heck ain’t - afropop with a slight American twist is the plat du jour.
