i mean this in both the sense of 1) not hiding it behind a paywall and 2) using inaccessible language

the idea behind research is to learn, share, and grow our (collective) base of knowledge. if youre writing scholarly articles that only you (and maybe, like, socrates or some other highfalutin pretentious asshole) are able to read, youve failed the critical points of researching in the first place. by making them inaccessible, youre not helping grow our collective knowledge. youre hiding them behind a wall of education and because of that many people are unable to attain it, either because of disability, social class (higher education is fucking expensive), english isnt their first language so reading these things extremely difficult, they have add/adhd/dyslexia/other things that make them unable to read these, or literally any of a thousand other possible reasons. its pretentious, its annoying, and its stupid.

make this shit accessible. youre wasting your time and mine in making it difficult to read. put the thesaurus away, write it in a way that everyone able to access

hmm thats weird, it hasn’t happened to me before… if typing it into the desc box doesn’t work u could try and edit it straight into the html? go down to where it has the description part in the custom css part n write whatever u want where {text:desc} is instead? sorry if this isn’t very helpful, i’m still an amateur :(
