Bit long, rambly post incoming. Tl;dr at the end.
So. I've been away for a bit... I set out to update a few pieces of my PC that I had been saving up for this year and ended up rebuilding the whole thing. Collateral damage I guess...at the moment I'm in the process of reinstalling all my software and 3D assets back so unfortunately things will be delayed. As much of a headache as it all has and continues to be, once it is all sorted out, I'll have a decent machine to do work on for a while, yay :).
But while I was tangling with that I came back and saw the announcement from Tumblr :(. I've received a few messages from some of you asking what I was going to do and what not. I had to process everything going on as it was all a bit much to take in and see how things would pan out in terms of other artists staying or leaving the platform. Personally I'm very upset with the changes, as it seems like a flamethrower type solution to a problem that maybe require a bit more tactful of a solution. However I have never been much a soapbox type of person and reading about other things behind the scenes , the whole mess make kind of make sense in an obtuse way.
Personally I don't consider myself a hardcore adult nsfw artist. Nsfw, probably. I don't shy away from doing nudes and the like if a piece calls for such. Nor do I shy away from commenting or liking others work that I find interesting. Anyone who who has followed me for a while has probably noticed the shift in my own artwork from my earlier work to now. There are a number reasons why, but I won't go into them as it is in the past. But, due to this, a select number of my renders and even text posts (which still baffles me) have been flagged by Tumblr. I feel like my own work falls in that grey-ish area, which I'm honestly a bit worried will most likely have my blog removed when the bans roll around. It's upsetting honestly.
Well, lurking around a bit, it seems like there are a few options on where to move to. I won't bother posting here anymore as a bit of solidarity with other fellow artists who are being unfairly punished (imo). Whether my blog stays intact or not we'll see... but despite that, I have set up shop on a few places and will most likely start to post my work on those sites. Maybe a better artist friendly Tumblr clone will pop up soon, but for now the places below are where you can find me.
Tl;dr Where can I find you after the 17th?!
Patreon: My Patreon. I've always just used this as a tip jar if people wanted to support me. Most if my project status posts are public here if you're into that in addition to WIP posts and full chapter post for the Potentials series
DeviantArt: Most one off pieces and chapter portions posted here.
Twitter: I only just made this a few days ago. I'm not super familiar with Twitter (I know...lol), but I will start posting things here soon-ish. Feel free to follow me :)
Newgrounds: Same as Twitter, this site is also new to me, again I will give this site a shot as well.
Potentials-Comic.com: I was waiting for the end of the month to post this, as the site is still under construction, but this will be the new home for all my Potentials series related characters, stories and assorted info. Really excited for this new project, but pardon the dust for the time being! I'll post on the other places when it goes live sometime next month. Note the site hasnt been 'published' as of writing this and my Patrons have access to an early beta of the site atm.
Thank you all of the support and kind messages from those of you who have followed me and my art journey on this site. I appreciate you all so much! Thank you to all those 3D/3DX/sfm/etc. artists who sent me kind messages, encouragement, answered questions and offered help. There are too many too list, but I appreciate you all so much. I hope that you'll continue following me on the other places listed above and share with people you think would be interested in checking out my stuffs. <3
