Do you plan to add more characters to the AU?

I mean, it must be difficult for two guys (one of them who hasn't walked in 1000 years) to escape a cult with advanced technology and some kind of god on their own, even if they have equally or more advanced technology to escape. I'm always waiting for updates on your stories; I love them!!

Although they will mostly be on their own trying to fly under the radar, there will indeed be appearances from other characters later on! Let’s just say there’s a sort of… resistance at play 😁

And sorry for the lack of update everyone, I haven’t had the energy to write in a bit, but I got 1.5k words in the other day so I’m hoping things are looking up!

Hand sculpted hair, lots of painful trial and error and the most amazing doll clothes made by DolluxeDesigns on Etsy!!! And man I am so proud of him. He took so much effort but he came out so wonderfully and I absolutely adore him!!

I wanted to know, you said you had an idea to bring Rio into the NEM AU, but will you bring him in as a good guy or a bad guy? (Like a hound, or a creature of the sands modified by the church to search for Viktor and/or Jayce. Or like a species that didn't need to evolve or make strong changes in its physiology, and Viktor finds comfort in seeing that a part of his past is still intact, idk just weird things that run through my head XD)

Will you include flashbacks of how Viktor created the Herald and how the Herald became obsessed with Viktor?

Thank you so much for Huck's perspective and how they discovered Viktor (I loved that you showed how he reacts to a "disturbance," and that the Church isn't afraid to torture or kill individuals for information). Were they also in stasis until Viktor disconnected and the Herald sent them to investigate, or did they just detect someone (Jayce) entering the temple and go on their own?

All I will say is that Rio will always be on Viktor’s team in my stories! And ya’ll are definitely not going to be able to guess how I’m incorporating her 🤣

There will be flashbacks of Viktor’s life before stasis! I’ll be weaving it through the story so you’ll get to see what the world used to be like and the events that led up to Viktor’s imprisonment.

So the way the Church works: their connection to the Herald is one-sided. The Herald doesn’t care about them or pay them any mind. They’re really just regular people obsessed with this strange unknowable machine “god” that they built a religion around (and gained a lot of power through). Prior to that snippet, the Church essentially intercepted an alert the Herald sent out among its own systems, and went to go investigate the source. They kind of consider themselves guardians of the Herald’s “temples” (even though it really doesn’t need them to)
