TRAUMA - a deeply distressing or disturbing experience
As a young child, my adoptive mother stripped me naked and whipped me with switches, belts, hangers, shoes, and extension cords.
She left physical and emotional scars and called her parenting techniques "spankings" or "good butt whoopings."
Her reasons? Because the Bible said it was right, she loved me, she wanted to protect me from the mean streets, drugs, early pregnancy, and white people who she said wanted to beat me up, lock me in a jail or leave me for dead in the streets.

- This is so f**ked up but you would be surprised at how many people grow up like this…..Controlling your kids by making them scared they are going to be physically beaten is some played-out, coward-ass, slave-sh*t……… a parent beating a child to encourage better behavior = a slave master beating a slave to encourage better behavior …….. its the same sh*t…… thats where it all comes from !!! #KNOCKITOFF ....... violence: we subconsciously encourage it by hitting our children at young ages....

#JesusIsMyHomeboy I don’t eat religious beef #but this is one of the many common #MisinterpretationsOfTheBible … The “ROD” that #christians use to justify beating their kids with is a symbol for GUIDANCE …. not a big ass stick or switch that you can f**k your kids up with #KNOCKITOFF …. A Better Interpretation: Sheep are dumb. The shepherd uses the hook of his “ROD” / staff / big ass stick to pull and nudge his sheep in the right directions…… ohhhhhh , rod; guidance………… #CutItOut
Children who have experienced complex trauma often have difficulty identifying, expressing, and managing emotions, and may have limited language for feeling states. This is a call for help ……. you know that kid in school that could never get it together?? the kid that was always disrupting things and always thru a fit when things didn’t go their way?? …….signs of trauma ………we need to recognize these behaviors BEFORE they manifest into the mass murders we’ve seen the past few decades….. and when we DO recognize them, don’t judge but seek to understand what underlying traumatic events might be going on at home…. Its time to start a new trend……. a trend of nurturing….. a trend of #empathy……..
When a child grows up afraid or under constant or extreme stress, the immune system and body’s stress response systems may not develop normally. Later on, when the child or adult is exposed to even ordinary levels of stress. For example, an individual may experience significant physiological reactivity such as rapid breathing or heart pounding, or may "shut down" entirely when presented with stressful situations. Those homeless people on the side of the road are likely victims of childhood trauma ………yes they should still get off their ass and get a job but this is still a great example of how powerful the impact trauma has on the brain …..we learn self-worth from the reactions of others, particularly those closest to us.

I don’t know who spent all that money……insurance claims/ out of pocket/ government agencies that give aid from grants…… its proof that these kids are getting f**ked up and we’re just letting it happen!! #KNOCKITOFF . I truly believe it takes a village to raise a child. These days most of our social community is ONLINE. most of our kids decide who and how they want to be based off of what they see. Which is why WE, as nurturing adults must take on a greater responsibility to LEAD.
