While at work on an order today, I started listening to 'Bittersweet: How Sorrow And Longing Make Us Whole' by Susan Cain. Her book 'Quiet' was such an affirming read for me as an introvert. This one is about sadness; that intense feeling when you listen to a sad song or read or watch a tragic tale. It's about the importance of melancholy in the creative process and how it connects us.

Weeping Willow Bonsai I tried something new last week, in terms of bonsai sculptures: a weeping willow! 

This beauty will be shipping out today to Vancouver Island.

I started a new kinetic sculpture yesterday - another Humpback Whale to work out the kinks of the last one. Here is the head!

Happy 27th to my baby sister (belated, two days ago)! Continuing with the wall décor theme, I had a go at a Raven piece for her! Turned out more like a dove, but I feel you can still see the raven in the beak.

I took some new photos the other day of the Kinetic Humpback Whale Sculpture. It’s nice with the garden green in the background!
