In the end, we're all alone and no one's coming to save you.
Maybe life is just about helping others feel a little less alone.
btw if they were writing/filming poi now, they would probably have to acknowledge the current state of ai affairs. but I like to think that it would be like a 5 minute mention. the machine just eats chatgpt for breakfast one day because she's tired of the garbage data that comes out of it. finch buys all of the openais. the agi apocalypse is still on, but with less slop.
watching Person Of Interest in 2025 is so strange… like damn, their idea of what the AI apocalypse would look like seems so much cooler than what we’ve got going on right now. they thought we’d have a supercomputer battle to the death, but actually it’s just annoying billionaire tech bros making google images utterly useless by slurping up a bajillion gallons of water every microsecond.
Tal Bauer writing romantic suspense: a character who deeply hates himself falls in love with a character who he thinks is perfect, a symbol of hope for himself and the world. plot twists happen. there’s an evil villain. some life-threatening situations. the world at large can be cruel, but friends are everything.
Tal Bauer writing contemporary romance: literally the same thing except they’re, like, at the beach. and minus all of the murders
Do you role play?
sometimes i pretend i’m a fully functioning adult
Armand looking gorgeous in the finale
sorry can’t talk i’m too busy romanticizing espionage
person of interest is really a show about a few people who desperately need a purpose and the one who couldn’t escape his if he tried (and he tried)
didn’t expect to find myself on tumblr in 2026 blogging about my old interests ngl. but maybe sometimes the only place where you can hide from the present is the past
Told you, pay you back all at once.
imagine you only have 2 minutes left to live and you go up to a rooftop so you don’t hurt anyone else, but your stubborn employer/the only friend you have comes to save you even though the chances are slim and he’s probably going to die with you if he stays, so you point a gun at him to make him go away and that doesn’t work and next thing you know he’s unbuttoning your shirt and trying to disable the bomb strapped to your chest while you tell him that it’s okay, you would’ve killed yourself by now anyway if you hadn’t met him. meanwhile, new york glitters gently in the background
happened to my good friend john reese
well. it's important to remember that a tv show can always let you down.
person of interest is an insane show. god is real. she is a system of computer networks and cameras across the world. everybody is gay. all cops are dirty. the government is lying to you, muderous, and somehow effective, which we all know it isn't. murder! so much murder! gay bookworm. main character holds lesbian hostage to stop her from communicating with god, the computer. oh and there's a dutch killer dog.
