Hey! Sorry I didnāt see your message here, itās actually been a long time since Iāve looked at my inbox. I do a better job of responding to direct messages, but I often forget to look at the inbox. As for your question about Twitter, if the profile isnāt filled out all the way, like no profile photo or banner picture, itās locked, it has no posts, the account has no ālikesā then I block it. I block all of those kinds of accounts. Usually they are āeggsā or accounts that are inactive and arenāt social. On social media an account that doesnāt interact/tweet, or share anything personal is one I steer clear of. I can not tell from an account that isnāt fully filled out if it is anyone who I know, or who follows me here on Tumblr. In any case, I consistently block those types of accounts because I want followers who interact with others to follow me on social media. I donāt expect anyone to use their real name on an account that they use to look at erotica online. For example, My name is not RopeTrainKeep (š.) protecting your actual identity is very important. However, anyone who creates an account and doesnāt care enough to share some info or make it visually presentable by adding a few pics (they donāt have to be your own pictures) isnāt interested in using social media to be social. And thatās my personal goal with my Twitter account, to feel connected. I am also blocking vacant accounts here on Tumblr too. Although I have only been doing that for a year. This is my approach to my two social media accounts (Twitter/Tumblr) And also is partially why Iāve taken down so much of the content I had up, because I felt like I was pouring into a hole online. I have 31K followers here on Tumblr but Iām certain that 20K of those followers are dormant accounts belonging to people who forgot what the login info was to their disposable account and started another so they could search for porn. Those are the kinds of accounts I wish to avoid. I would rather have 2K followers who actually care about what I post and care enough to put a heart on some of my posts or make comments than get to 50K followers and have the majority of them be non social. That is just my perspective. My work is very personal to me. Showing it is my way of sharing a significant part of my life. I really donāt want to have that connection with someone who just wants to gobble my work up, take it for granted, download and repost it as an original post for their own blog, and cut me out of it. This isnāt what is happening with all the blank accounts, I assume that. Blocking accounts that seem to be āshake and goā is my approach to creating a social network composed of followers who care about their accounts. If I were not doing this Iām certain that my Twitter following would be 15k right now instead of 7.2K, so it just shows you how much it means to me to feel connected to others. In your case, it probably feels rude or maybe even disloyal to be a fan of my tumblr and then go to my twitter and get blocked. Just know that my approach is meant to admit followers who value their own accounts. If you want to follow me on twitter then Create an account with a couple pictures (they can be random images off the internet) and add a few details to it and I wonāt block that. Even if you protect your tweets or donāt have any posts, if the account is filled out Iāll welcome it. Twitter is also a better place to DM me so if you want to send me a message there then Iāll see it more readily than here, and Iād be glad to hear from you.š¤ā¤ļøI hope that this message addresses everything, because Iāve had a few other messages wondering why Iām blocking.
