I have a headcanon/Au thing where Shawn is a real psychic, and has been all his life, but because of the way he was raised it kinda stunted his powers and he pushed them down without even realizing it. 

That’s why stuff like that one moment in Autopsy Turvy, where Shawn has Gus laying on the road pretending to be the dead guy and he sees the streetlight shatter and can’t see Gus anymore, exists. 

Also, Shawn’s reaction to that was just to say “That’s interesting,” and then move on. SHAWN! YOU AREN’T MORE CONCERNED ABOUT SEEING THE STREETLIGHT SHATTER, THE GLASS FALLING ON AND AROUND YOU, GUS BEING HIDDEN BY SHADOW, YOU AREN’T MORE CONCERNED OR CURIOUS ABOUT THE FACT THAT THAT JUST HAPPENED?!

*ahem*

And that’s why in 65 Million Years Off he jokingly says it’s a dinosaur, and then realizes “Hey wait I was right.”

I swear the show has alluded to him actually having abilities.

People start sentences with “isn’t” and “wasn’t” all the time but if you break apart the contraction it sounds funny. Is not that weird.
