There are a lot of things I would change now and I think I would’ve change it then if I didn’t submit it the day after deadline… My goal is to draw something before the deadline, don’t submit it immediately, look at it after a couple of days and make corrections o(｡• ◡ •｡)o✐ᝰ

GENSHIN IMPACT CHARACTERS: ROSARIA

A sister of the church, though you wouldn't know it if it weren't for her attire. Known for her sharp, cold words and manner, she often works alone.

"barely," rosaria answers with an eyeroll. then, as to explain herself, she continues, "i couldn't stand another second of it. it was this or my wrist."

her gaze drops to the severed cord on the floor. probably not the best humour to serve with a stranger whom she just met at the tavern over shared dislike of amplified singing.

"do you think we should steal it?" she's still talking about the cord, obviously. albert's insisting on finishing his performance, with or without equipment. the only way to minimise damage is to ensure there is no fixing of the issue.

"i think we should."

"steal it?" he manages to blurt through another faint wince, "what would we even do with it? it'd make better sense to just—"

but no time for that. rosaria answers her own question while the taverngoers wrap up their reconvening. the fact of the matter is: that includes albert. tighnari closes his mouth the moment he spots the freak of nature clearing his throat.

before any other tragedies can occur tonight, tighnari snatches one half from the ground and marches to the exit while he still can, leaving the other half to the unconventional nun. he can't take all of the credit for the smart idea, after all.

"follow me," is all she says before sneaking upstairs. she climbs out the window—she expects tighnari to do so as well—and up the roof. she waits for tighnari to catch up and moves again, this time aiming for the nearest windwheel in sight.

karaoke night is cut short, damage is minimised, and the guest from sumeru has earned himself a rare piece of memento.

on the way up the structure, she picks up a few philanemo mushrooms to gift barbara next time she sees her—probably in the morning when someone reports her tavern shenanigans to the church.

once they settle on the tower, she pulls out a cigarette and places it between her teeth.

"do you smoke?"

of course, she remembers to ask before lighting it.

𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭.  theology but drops out. she simply cannot hand in anything on time, if at all. however, if you talk to her, you’ll find that she knows a lot more than she appears to.

𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐫𝐞.  romance, comedy & animation. she prefers light-hearted entertainment. she doesn’t mind horror and other things but they don’t give her the same satisfaction.

𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞  𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐞.  playful, lively, easy loving. you love her but you also don’t do it loudly. you love her but also push back. you love her but aren’t afraid of saying no to her. you love her but you’re still you and she’s still her.

𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫.  snowdrop, galanthus nivalis: heralding the end of winter and the dawn of hope. provence rose, rosa centifolia: thicker layers than the conventional rose, complicated and rich scent.

𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫.  snow. cold. so cold that the air is extra bright and everything is so sharp.

𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞  𝐨𝐟  𝐝𝐚𝐲.  sunset bleeding into the night.

𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭.  fragrant rosewater that’s holy and blasphemous at the same time.

𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐞.  sichuan pepper. the tongue would sweat at the taste of it.

𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭  𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦.  moonlight. full or new, it still shines the same.

𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫  𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦.  ice. freezing point. a sense of time-stopping, breath-taking marvel. a form of water you can grasp. at least for a little while. a form of water that bites.

𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐭  𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞.  face to face, flesh to flesh, skin to skin. (  honey just put your sweet lips on my lips / we should just kiss like real people do )

𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.  a calm and unwavering helplessness. that nobody would ever know how to take care of her. that there is nothing left for her to do. there is just survival.
