Dr. Stone is one of my favorite mangas and means so much to me for many reasons. This character in particular also means a lot to me as he is possibly the coolest aroace representation I've ever seen in media. Even though he was never confirmed to be aroace canonically, he might as well have been! My man's married to science and science only (I mean... he was technically married to a woman for a very short time... but that was just a means to an end lol), and he's wonderfully portrayed as not attracted to anyone and not interested in any kind of relationships except for friendships. I love him as a protagonist and while I'm nowhere near as smart as him, his values largely align with mine and I love how hilariously relatable he can be😄 I always find it somewhat disappointing and frustrating how little he is celebrated as an aroace character in the fandom and usually gets shipped with one character or another. Not to discourage people from enjoying their ships, just saying!

I know there's an actual aroace flag but I always prefer using these two, I just like these two color schemes (separately, at least).

I totally share your sentiments about and connection with Senku and Dr. Stone, Mugi! I don’t engage much with the franchise nowadays (just cuz of my many current hyperfixations), but it still holds a special place in my heart! ☺️

Fun fact about me: Dr. Stone was what led me to discover that I’m aroace! I remember watching the first season blind and relating so much to Senku’s disinterest in and aversion to romance and sexual stuff. Then, reading the manga and hopping into the fandom, I saw a bunch of people headcanoning him as aroace or either asexual or aromantic. I was like, “What is that?”, and as I was researching and learning about asexuality and aromanticism, I reflected on my own experiences and feelings about romance/sex. I thought, “Huh. Maybe I’m aroace too!” So I owe it to Senku and Dr. Stone for my little bit of self-discovery! 😁
