I'm off from work today (and Wednesday & Friday) . For context: I'm a youth counselor for Summer Rising program.

However, my mom thinks it's bc I took the doctor's appointment the other day and couldn't do both & attend work that caused them to change my schedule from mornings to afternoons. Even though I already told her it's only my schedule for this week and could potentially change week to week. Also keep in mind, she hasn't been back to work since her back injury in January and has gone to PT the last few months.

Do you think my mom is overreacting or just looking out for me?

I have a confession to make...

I am terrified of driving.

My mom wants me to take a DMV test to get a learner's permit. I took it before online back in 2017 and got it then, but now I have to do it in person. She thinks if I have it, it'll lead to more job opportunities and higher pay. OK, it's not like I'm entirely terrified about driving, I'm just afraid of messing up, failing and being prone to car accidents if I don't know which way to turn, stop at a red light, etc. Plus, I see everyday on my way to work a damaged car parked in the corner and I wonder if that person is still alive & well, or if the car is still drivable.

IDK, maybe it's just me and I sound ridiculous, but I'm not sure if I'm willing to admit that to my mom. But on the other hand, if I drove, it would be easy transportation to just get where I need to go with no problems.

I swear, my oldest sister is like a detective. Every time when she visits home, she has a keeness to want to know everything that's going on with me. She was setting up storage on my new phone and she was confused on how & why do I have two Google accounts. One's my main one, and the other one is for fun/social media and or backup.

Yes, I know, she's my older sister, she's family. But like, we could not be any more different in terms of personality, my quirks or likes/interests that she might not understand, etc.

Do you ever just watch old TV commercials breaks on YT from 15 or 20+ years ago from the big three kids channels Disney Channel, Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network back in the day? I do it every so often and it really puts everything into perspective in terms of advertising, marketing, graphic design and programming. Like why do I barely remember what I watched last night or two weeks ago but I do remember:

The $5 foot long jingle from Subway

Recees' Puffs cereal commercial rap

Credit Report. Com commercial

How cruel were the Capri Sun commercials? These kids were going through it whenever they stepped on those pouches

Any snack or cereal commercials: McDonald's, Fruit Snacks etc (some of which are animated)

Infomercials

It's honestly amazing how the irony shows that YouTube and all the other streaming services plays ads but I willingly watch these commercials for an hour.
