An introduction, maybe?

I’ve had my personal Tumblr account for years, but I wanted to create a separate blog to freely talk about the things I love!

I’ve been birding for about 3 years now, but I don’t have a fancy camera yet, so I may occasionally share some pretty horrendous photos of lifers (it’s beautiful what you can accomplish with shaky hands, a janky iPhone camera, and a pair of binoculars). My favorite bird is the Roseate Spoonbill (hence my name on here haha), but I love all birds!!! I adore barn owls and swans!

I recently started learning more about insects, and I worked in an ant lab for almost 2 years (weird side quest for me), soooooo also expect bugs. In another life, I would’ve been an entomologist (in this life, I am a miserable pre-medicine student).

I’m especially passionate about Louis Tomlinson and Taylor Swift (Louaylor!!!). I love their songwriting and I love to note parallels in their music and careers. Louaylor is not a ship (I don’t think it’s right to “ship” any real people together, which is why I also ask that Gaylors and Larries do not interact with my account. You guys are disrespectful and weird). I am mostly a solo Louie but I don’t have any animosity towards the other former members of One Direction.

Their connections and lyrical similarities are superior. Taylor will never write or make anything with as much depth, love or heart for her husband, who I wouldn’t doubt she’ll cheat on within a year lol.

I know you’re probably just trolling, but if you ARE being sincere, I would like to gently coax you out of whatever weird hate spiral you’re in right now lol. I know that her relationship with Travis Kelce can be quite polarizing (I will never understand why people care so much hahaha) but I do care a lot about her songwriting, and I think you’re being unfair.

She HAS written with “depth, love, and heart” for him, before they were even engaged. And I hope that in their future, she continues to write more music like this, whether that’s inspired by him, or not. But I imagine it will be :)

We don’t have to agree on whether you find these lyrics meaningful or not, because music is subjective. But I think all of them have a very beautiful common theme: Travis gives Taylor a sense of safety and support, and makes her feel youthful and free! To me, that’s very romantic! And this writing is still powerful and important. Misery is not the only way to experience emotional depth.

If you’re just trolling and you don’t actually care about what my thoughts are on this, welp lol. I think the cheating line in your ask was weird. It’s interesting that a stranger’s relationship makes you feel this way. Hmmm
