Before I threw away the packaging I felt obligated to take pictures of it so that I could post about it. I guess that means I’ll probably post about them one day.
I don’t get periods with my IUD, but I do spot sometimes. It’s been a bit more regular with my IUD being 3 years old and well I always thought menstrual cups were really cool. Never got to try them though--I didn’t start menstruating until I was 15; it was always extremely light, “this is stupid, I almost shouldn’t even have to be wearing a pad...”; and practically untrackable with them skipping a month half the time. Then I started with progesterone birth control at 19 and they stopped so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ never were a big part of my life, periods.
I’m not spotting right now but I still tried them out a bit: I’m really glad I got the explore kit. Even though my “flow” is obviously a ‘small’ I can only manipulate the ‘medium’ one reasonably. I have really weak hands, curved thumbs, and long ass natural nails so I can’t keep the small one pinched long enough for it to pop into the correct place. The medium fits well. It makes me feel like I kind of have to pee, but its such a small stimulus I bet it’d go away if I was busy with anything other than looking up menstrual cup info for 2 hours.
I don’t find that removal or insertion requires me to put my hands inside my body like say Epiphora’s review mentions--with the medium it slides up to where it needs to be like how a knotted toy does once its pushed in enough, and I just need to bear down (read: try to poop at all) to make the base grabbable to take it out.

a few years back she and a colleague got an interpreting assignment from the agency that said “spice party”. so it was like a tupperware party where someone works for a company that sells a product, and they invite people into their home to show them the product and then the guests can place an order and buy the products and in this case it was spices.
they get there, and ring the doorbell. the host opens the door and tells them that the guests haven’t arrived yet but that they’re welcome to go into the other room to look at the products so they’ll know what will be discussed during the night.
so these two interpreters were like pfft spices?? lmao we don’t need to look this up, there’s salt pepper and chilli like how hard can it be. so they walk up to the door. open it. look into the room where this spice party is supposed to take place. and stop dead in their tracks.
flashback to when the interpreting agency got the order from the host of the party. apparently it said “it’s a party where they can order products from a company called something something spicy”. so this old little lady that handles the orders just thinks “hey, it says spicy, so that must mean spices right?” she rewords the order and sends it to the interpreters.
fun fact. that company did NOT sell spices. these two interpreters open the door expecting oregano or some shit and they get dildos. just. everywhere. dildos. lube. vibrators. condoms in 75 different sizes. it was a sex toy party.
the guests arrive. this is a small ass town. the interpreters know everybody at this party. throughout the night the guests can go into a private room with the host to place an order, and the interpreters have to come along because the host is the one who is deaf. to this day they see these people on the street and have to be like “hey :)” because it’s a small town, everyone knows everyone, and they have to say hi to people knowing that they have a two foot dildo and licorice flavoured lube at home.
anyway what i got from that story is that i picked the right profession.

Whereas, there are many people sharing their experiences in order to warn others across many platforms. Since theyre scattered across platforms, I’ve decided to make this list as a single place where they can be accessed easily.
Hopefully this list is helpful and helps you judge for yourself before committing to an order.
They have not been answering tickets customers have been sending. There are many people on the BD forums with the same experience of having tickets ignored.
Their recent twitter mentions also provide insight into their ticket answering issues.
They have been caught providing a false tracking number to at least one customer who filed a paypal dispute.
If you open a paypal dispute against them, you can never order from them again. (this is in their frequently asked questions section of their web page)
They recently appear to be ignoring requests for refunds in roughly any form be it disputes, emails, and tickets.

They can take anywhere from 1 week to multiple months to ship a premade item. There really is no consistency.
The retrieval cords on their eggs CAN NOT be sterilized, even through boiling. The weave of the cord holds bacteria and can be incredibly unsafe to reuse especially if they are being used anally.

Their company sculptor Video said in the thread that the base was too large; FB’s mammoth has no form of testicles on the base of their mammoth
FB claims that the mammoth was based off of elephant genitalia but there are many elements on FBs mammoth that are the same within the forum submission which are completely absent or wrong in real life elephants; creating issue with the excuse of it being similar only due to its pachyderm inspiration.
FB has been shown to have previously altered submitted toy ideas, without consulting the design creator, as seen above.

There is no consistency with their queue regarding repours or order priority as can be seen from some customers getting things shipped out immediately and other orders taking upwards of 7 months to 2 years.
When confronted about issues, the owners often default to the excuse “We are only a 2 person company.” While they have allegedly have added one or two more people to their team, this has done roughly nothing to offset the customer service issues. There is also no being sure whether these two additional people still work there.
They are generally inactive on all their social media accounts and have made no attempt to account for chronic poor customer service and shipping issues.
Even after ceasing production of guided mysteries, they continue to struggle to ship things in a timely fashion.
I will be completely honest, I believe some of aforementioned list would be excusable if they simply made an effort to communicate to clients in general; when orders will be behind, slow, or what sort of factors are keeping them from working at peak efficiency. But as it is, FB does not seem to believe this to be a necessary step in their business.
There are other low staffed indie toy companies that respect their customers enough to keep them as in-the-know as possible with their orders and things that will affect wait times. It is not an impossible feat to excuse FB from.
The multitude of issues with their customer service have been consistent and chronic throughout the years and have only gotten worse as of recently with the influx of people making paypal disputes against them.

THIS IS NOT A COMPLETE LIST. There are many customers who have been burned who simply do not have Tumblr or haven’t posted about their experiences. This is absolutely by no means an end-all list. There are more stories of bad pours, absurd wait times, bad quality control and communication issues than are listed here.

‘Don’t use silicone lube with your silicone toys. Water lube only!’
I see a statement akin to this in a lot of little postcards/papers/websites from different toy companies; while the first part is very important, the second part is mis-information due to more than two types of lubes existing.
I exclusively use oil-based lubes, especially butter-type oil lubes. Water lubes aren’t cushy enough for my body unless they’ve been chalked full of artificial crap that I won’t willingly use. But so many companies saying ‘water only’ hand-in-hand with ‘no silicone lube’ needlessly makes me have to defend myself about my lube choice, and also makes recommending small-owners of oil based lubes, like The Butters, way more of an explaining endeavor than it should be.
There’s also that thing where oil-based is really the way to go for anal since the anus absorbs water, and it’s indirectly discouraged from when ‘no silicone’ is paired with ‘water only’. And it’s not like there aren’t a barely finite number of unhealthy (sugars, etc) water based lubes out there... meanwhile the only oil base that objectively doesn’t work out health-wise is petroleum; pretty much all natural oils are body safe, from coconut to shea to almond. Like, The Butters literally decreases the prevalence of yeast infections.
Compatibility with latex or most barriers? Condoms aren’t generally constructive for use with sex toys, and almost all of them are lubed with silicone so already a no-no. The internal condom (FC2) can be rinsed of its silicone lube, but it doesn’t degrade via oil because it’s a nitrile barrier. (As someone with a latex allergy who wants to control my protection myself, that’s my obvious first choice in the sex world, too, anyway).
tl;dr keep ‘no silicone lube’ drop ‘water only’. It’s needlessly alienating to oil-based lube users...
