Ghostly green necklace!

Someone generously gave me some glass Halloween beads a few years ago, including the little ghosts and green candies used in this that made me start sorting coordinating beads into a little bag a while ago, and I finally convinced myself to start stringing everything together yesterday. The...uh...the volume and quantity of everything kinda got away from me. It's fine.

That was completely unexpected for me 😅

I just kept stringing beads and realized I had almost 10 strings of beads, so went ahead and made enough to round it out, but was wondering, while I was doing it, if I would have to rig up something really clunky to get everything connected to the clasps.

It wasn't until I was ready to look for connectors that I remembered at all that I even had the green crescents, and it wasn't until I found them that I (re)discovered they have five loops on the one side, so they were pretty much as perfect as possible, given that every single item involved with this project was acquired completely randomly (gifts, second hand, inherited, "hmm maybe I can use that someday," and just plain "ooh shiny/what a bargain")

This project has made me realize that, much like saving fabric scraps for patchwork, it's entirely possible to make something really big like this...and not even make a visible dent in the overall pertinent craft item stash.
