i, for one, don’t think we highlighted enough of ilya being a bisexual drama queen in season one

yelling “I WILL GIVE ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS!!! TO WHOEVER SCORES AGAINST MY CRUSH’S TEAM!!!”. refusing to change out of his boston shirt like WHAT THEY DON’T KNOW I PLAY FOR BOSTON. cursing so loud when he stubs his toe that the whole room is like who the fuck is that oh that’s just our captain being our captain again. horror movie look on his face when he sees shane holding one person’s hand. crashing out when rose has the audacity to dance with his man who is not really his man. and then GOING ONTO THE DANCE FLOOR to find someone to make shane jealous (he is so messy im screaming.)

and my personal favourite: when shane tries to tell him to do something (“ilya” when he’s distracting shane on the phone + “maybe you should wait in the car”) and he raises his eyebrows like “U think so bitch? No”

I’m sorry but “you come here” “no you come here” while they’re both actively walking towards each other is the entire plot of Heated Rivalry encapsulated in a few seconds.

Like they both want the other to be the initiator because they both want to pretend that they’re chill and not that invested BUT at the same time they are both so completely unchill that they cannot stay away from each other for a single second more than they have to, no matter how hard they try.
