Izzy gently knocked on the door to her younger sister’s apartment. The two hadn’t spent much time together since the storm– even then, they were spending time together because they were practically snowed in for a day or two. Since the snow had melted and the sun was finally shining again, Izzy decided she would come by and surprise Rosie with a day out– just the two of them. “Hi!” Izzy said in a singsong voice, smiling brightly at her sister when she opened the door.

Rosalina felt bad she never really reached out to her sister. But they were at different points in their lives and it seemed like their schedules always clashed. “Girl I thought something was wrong when you called at 9AM!” She only half teased as she pulled her hair back. She invited her sister inside and closed the door behind them.

“so, i tattooed a butterfly tramp stamp on a woman in her 80s today. i didn’t think anyone could give me a run for my money in the ‘bad bitch department’, but edith sure did. i love that queen. i’m thinking of asking her on a date, honestly. what’s the best way to seduce someone that old? do i take her to bingo on the first date or will she assume i’m trying to get lucky?” jackson asked the person beside him. he was very clearly stoned out of his mind and thought it would be a great way to break the ice. “thoughts and opinions always welcome.”

She grimaced at the thought of giving an old woman a tramp stamp. But it was his job and she doubted he’d refuse clients. Her eyes only grew wider as he mentioned taking the woman on a date. “Please tell me you’re joking. What are you into GILFS or something?” Rosalina hit the blunt and passed it back to him. “Why don’t you take me on a date instead? It could be fun!”

“I get that though. We rely on our phones and all so much, that without having them we are like lost.” Estrella agreed with her, sighing a bit. It was hard, not being able to contact her dads or her brothers but here she was, way calmer than she expected to be stuck in a snow storm. “That’s true. I don’t think I would be able to handle this alone. I might have gone crazy…or starting to talk to the shadows.” She chuckled.

She nodded at the others comment before letting out a soft sigh. “I guess it is kinda sad if you think about it..” The snow storm had been hard on Rosie as well. She was constantly worrying about her older sister. “The shadows?” Rosalina questioned with wide eyes. “Is there something you’re not telling me?”

“Of course!” Izzy let out a soft chuckle, understanding that she may have gone a little overboard with how prepared she was. If Izzy were being honest, she would admit that she simply worried about most things, which led her to try and always have some kind of plan, even if it wasn’t fully developed. “There’s a chance we may be stuck here for a while, because I imagine the roads are going to get bad. But if I can, I will probably try to make it to the hospital and help out as soon as possible” Izzy was rambling, something she often did when she got anxious or nervous. “I wanted to check on you, though– make sure you’re okay. So, you’re okay?” She repeated, noticing Rosalina hadn’t actually answered her question earlier. 

She made her way to her kitchen and started snacking on the chips she had. Rosie peered over at Izzy, a smile on her face. “Yeah I’m fine, sis. Just bored is all. And it’s freezing in here.” She commented as she took on of the blankets Izzy had brought and covered up with it. “Are you sure you’ll be okay to go to the hospital? I don’t know that that’s such a good idea, Iz.” Rosalina frowned and patted the spot next to her.

finley had been kicked out of her apartment but she was loving the time away to relax at the seaside hotel. she was also out of a job, but the town was looking for people to help so she was first in line. they’d been working at both oakley court and now been promoted to helping the residents at maple court. ‘who, me? oh honey, i might be completely pointless. i think i know how to reset a breaker which may give your apartment access to the back up electricity but… also who knows?’ they laughed and shrugged their shoulders. ‘i’ll do my best! and i did bring you some extra candles.’

Rosalina laughed a bit at her comment before shaking her head. “No use. I’ve tried flipping that fucking thing numerous times, no use.” She sat down on her couch and covered up with her fluffy blanket. “You can stay here as long as you’d like. I have extra blankets if you need one.” The girl said not thinking much of her being on the job. “And thank you for the candles.”

Stevie had been with their dads for the first few days of the storm, helping out at Delia’s Cafe wherever they could. There were definitely worst places Stevie could have been trapped – she couldn’t imagine·being trapped in a small apartment considering she was the type of person who always had to be DOING·something. At least today Stevie had managed to get out and see what was happening around town and see how their friends were holding up.·“How rude of that power cable to get broken in the storm,” Stevie responded with a small snort.·“My dads let me out of the cafe today, I figured I’d come and see how you are. I brought over baked goods from the cafe too!” She held up the bag she was holding which was stuffed full of things stolen from the kitchen.·

“No seriously. The AUDACITY of that cable.” She joked back before bundling up in her coat. Her apartment was freezing, she couldn’t imagine how cold it actually was. Upon seeing the bag of goods, Rosie jumped up and down in excitement. “Oh thank god I’m absolutely starving.” The girl said taking the bag and retrieving one of the many baked goods. “How’s the cafe? Do you guys have power?”

When: Snowstorm, Day 3

She’s absolutely losing her mind right now. The power being out has to be the worst thing that’s happened to her all week. Cue Rosie cursing beneath her breath. “I pay so much for this goddamn apartment just for the fucking power to go out in a snowstorm?” The girl obviously doesn’t understand how electricity works and she doesn’t care either. “I guess it’s not the end of the world though at least you’re here, eh?”

When: Day 1 of snow storm

Where: Maple Court

Izzy was well aware that there had been winter weather advisories for several days but she would come to realize that she had severely underestimated them. That day, Izzy was grateful to live in the same apartment complex as her younger sister. And being the worrisome, overprotective older sister she was, of course she showed up at Rosie’s door. She had come prepared with extra blankets, flashlights, and even a card game if they got bored. But, overall, Izzy wanted to make sure her sister was okay. “Hey, you alright?” Was the first thing she said when Rosie answered the door.

The winter weather had Rosalina in quite a mood to say the least. Not a good one, either. Since the power had gone out she’d been bored out of her mind. She was ranting about how the power was out but was quickly snapped out of it upon hearing the knock. After ensuring it wasn’t a stranger through the peep hole Rosie opened the door. “Thank god you’re here. I am bored out of my fucking mind.” She sighed dramatically and closed the door behind Izzy. “You brought all the goods, huh?”

Where: Blackberry Bakery

Izzy had been in Moorbrooke for about six months, and she felt that all she had done is work since she arrived. If it wasn’t long shifts at the hospital, it was spending time unpacking. She knew few people, and she couldn’t lie, it was a bit lonely. She felt a tinge of sadness as her homesickness persisted but she tried to comfort herself by reminding herself that she came to Moorbrooke for a fresh start. Izzy wasn’t much into bars, especially if it meant going by herself, so she decided she would try something else in town. Blackberry Bakery. No one could go wrong with sweets, right? “What would you recommend?” She asked the other standing nearby, her voice was soft and sweet as always.

Living in Moorbrooke two years meant that Rosalina knew her way around the town pretty well. One of her favorite places to go on lunch break had always been Blackberry Bakery. They had cakes to die for. As she’s standing in line she hears a voice behind her, sweet and soft. She’d recognize that voice anywhere. Rosie turns around, huge smile on her face as she looks at Izzy. “Well hello to you too! Girl you have to try their wedding cake flavor. It’s absolutely amazing. And when are you gonna let me do those nails?” She only half teases.

ROSALINA SANCHEZ ( SHE/HER ) is a FEMALE, TWENTY FIVE year old NAIL TECH who has been living in Moorbrooke for TWO YEARS. They were born on SEPTEMBER TENTH and right now, they are currently residing in MAPLE COURT. It has been said that they look suspiciously like ALEXA DEMIE and if they had to choose a song to describe themselves, they would choose GOOD GIRLS by 5SOS. ( Vee, 23, est, they/them )

TW(S): drugs, OCD, rehab

Rosalina was born on a stormy night on September tenth 1995. Rosie was born to a single mother and never met her father though she heard a lot about him as he was the town's only drug dealer. She led a pretty normal life. Went to school, got good grades, had a loving mother..all the normal things. However, from a young age Rosalina struggled with OCD. She would often find herself repeating simple tasks such as washing her hands over and over numerous times just to make sure she’d done it correctly. One night at a party her “friends” asked her to try some drugs. Rosalina didn’t take her obsessive personality into account when trying these drugs but soon learned she would become addicted. She loved the way the drugs made her feel and even found that they helped with her OCD.

 For a while she was able to hide it from her mother before the secret was finally out. Upon discovering her child was addicted to drugs, Catalina sent her to rehab. It was here that Rosie would finally become clean and live her best life. Needing another high though she decided to take up a hobby. At age seventeen Rosalina began to do nails at her own home. At first she thought she’d never get the hang of it until she became really good at the hobby, posted it on instagram and got numerous requests to do peoples nails. This has been Rosie’s main source of income since then and she works at one of the top nail salons in Moorbooke, Maine.
