I don’t know what I’m doing here, rambling like twice a year I guess. Current fandoms: LEGO Monkie Kid, One Piece, Minecraft Diaries, the Life Series, others. Writing is my thing, not always super good at it.

Ok maybe I’m just not looking in the right places but I have not been able to find a fic where Law stays under the effect of the calm-calm fruit after Cora’s death, and I just think that’s a right shame, it’s such a cool concept! And yes obviously I know it wouldn’t work in canon, both because it didn’t and because of the whole “you pass out and everything you’ve ever done with your fruit is undone” (which I personally think is ridiculous but Oda will be Oda), but when have we ever cared what’s canon and what’s not? It’s fanfiction! That’s the whole dang point! If it was canon we wouldn’t need to write it ;) Back on topic, I just think it’d be really interesting, add another layer or five of angst on top of Law’s already nightmarish life, no one living but the Donquixote family has ever heard his voice, if we go with flevance having its own accent or even language it means the knowledge of his people’s words was lost even though he’s still alive, if he at some point had kids they wouldn’t have the flevance accent, they wouldn’t even know what it sounded like! And there might even be a hint of comfort in the sea of bitterness, because Cora lied to him, died for him, took his voice from him in death, and yet that silence will always remain with him, Cora will always remain with him. And I imagine there have been several times in his life that silence has saved him, a last parting gift, masking his footsteps, hiding his sharp breaths, keeping him safe when he was being hunted. I’m sure there have also been plenty of moments it’s nearly gotten him killed, just imagine if he fell in the ocean, wouldn’t be able to scream, wouldn’t even be able to splash to make noise with the charm affecting his active sounds, or if he was locked somewhere, can’t call for help, can’t bang on the walls. It must have been a curse more than anything, but in those few moments it was a life saving blessing… I just think it’s such a fun concept, and am disappointed no one has written it :(

Update on the gods au, I spent all yesterday writing but it’s like 7k of blurbs so I figured I’d try and clean it up before posting anything, but considering all of my poor poor fans, desperate for any scraps of content (can you feel the sarcasm?), I decided to give the updated version of the fams designations, just to tide you over.

Ra’s: false god of death

Alfred: old immortal, not a god but has the favor of many, has been watching over bound gods for eons

Bruce: bound god of family and protection (“justice”)

Dick: bound god of freedom and flight

Barbara: human, syphoned power off the bats through years of exposure, can now see auras

Jason: bound and fractured god of children and mischief vengeance

Tim: human, syphoned power off the bats through years of exposure, no known abilities yet, was forced into immortality by Ra’s

Steph: bestowed demigod of mischief

Damian: born demigod of animals, false descendant of death

Cass: human host to the god of mercy

I have nothing for this, I am creating it as I write.

Ok but thing where Chat somehow gets control of Technoblade’s body, context non existent, so there’s this massive fierce blood god wandering around- you know the gist- except it’s ALL of Chat, so every time they try to make sound is interrupted by “e e e e e e”, so they can like barely communicate, and you know blood for the blood god and all, after a few hours of rolling around trying to figure out how this works- it’s like five Chatters per muscle- somebody is like “wait a second, we can do violence! We have the body of the blood god! We can do ANYTHING!” and so they start attempting to do violence but they’re SO bad at it, like they spend at least an hour trying to pick up a weapon, and then accidentally throw it cause enough Chatters had the impulse thought, and somehow they end up in L’manberg or wherever, and everybody is like “oh my gosh it’s Technoblade! He’s come to kill us all! Ready your weapons!” (Make it roleplay or real or secret third option idc) Except he keeps falling over and dropping things and saying E and other various meme sounds, and he kinda just perpetually has the pikachu face, and Phil is desperately trying to hide him but it’s like Baymax in Big Hero 6, somehow the second Phil turns around they’ve managed to wander off and fallen somewhere, and if it was an animated thing you can totally picture everyone running around trying to find him and Chat’s just in the background on a roof or breaking into someone’s house, I can picture it so clearly and it’s hilarious. I think there’s also a scene somewhere in My Little Pony that incapsulates this perfectly.

The whole war thing gets put on hold while everyone is trying to fix him, and at some point a bunch of people think maybe they should just leave him like this, Techno is dangerous after all and Chat is- in contrast to what they will tell you- decidedly not. So then that group is trying to subtly sabotage everybody else’s efforts to get Techno control back, and it devolves into this whole prank war thing, knowing them somebody would probably make a flag, the whole L’manberg/war/countries thing would just totally dissolve because this was more fun, it’s a constant back and forth of the two groups kidnapping Chat, and by the time Techno gets fixed all the sides have been scrambled and nobody really cares anymore, so I guess it’s a fix it fic, but also just straight up crack, there is nothing serious anywhere in here, somebody tries to be serious, probably Dream, and everybody just boos them until they go they go hide in a hole in shame, we have more important things to be doing, like seeing how many eggs Chatnoblade can balance before dropping them (the answer was a very impressive three before enough Chatters inevitably jerked their hand and dropped them, Chat is having a very intense civil war over it).

And everything worked out and nobody ever fought again, the end.

Someone made a post that said "Vylad is such wanderer relic coded but also a shadow knight, like, pick a struggle" or something like that and I was just about to reblog it before my tumbkr decided to reload! So here is what I would've reblogged.

What if Vylad was always meant to have Kul'Zaks relic but was purposely turned into a shadow knight to prevent it? It is known that only some people get turned into Shadow Knights when they die, and the majority of people we have seen as shadow knights are those who are incredibly useful and powerful. Gene is someone who did not die in the Nether but still became a shadow knight and he is INCREDIBLY USEFUL!

We know that Shad had been gaining power since before season 1, so it would make sense that he would take advantage of the opportunity of Kul'Zak's reincarnation's death to do so. Not everyone who is murdered becomes a Shadow Knight, and we also know that Vylad wasn't a guard unlike the majority of other Shadow Knights, so what made him so special? Opportunity.

Vylad is also the one person who has consistently traveled between the Nether and the Overworld with no problem and I am fully convinced that he can teleport sooo, Kul'Zak descendant.

I have never been converted to something so quickly in my LIFE. The thought of Vylad being Kul’zak’s descendant or even a relic wielder has never even crossed my mind, not because it didn’t fit but just because when I watched Diaries I wasn’t really a big theory person, but even now that I’m rewatching it all I never even connected this dot! But it makes so much sense! When I read this I was like “but it’s not possible since that would mean Garroth and Zane would be Kul’zak’s descendants too- WAIT A SECOND!” Because we don’t know who Vylad’s dad is, all we know is it wasn’t Garte. And it certainly seems like Garte would be Edmund’s descendant since he’s blond and we all know that over the hundred if not thousands of years no divine bloodline has changed hair colors or appearances, as seen by Shad-Aaron, Enki-Travis, Esmund-Garroth, and now Kul’zak-Vylad! I know they still haven’t announced a continuation of MCD but when they do I will be waiting for this to become canon. I have never been more supportive of a theory in all my years.

Also, adding my own small theory, has anyone else considered that Liochant might be the descendant of Menphia the Fury? My only evidence is that they’re both from Tu’la and that’s terrible evidence but I just got to season three again and it’s hit me like a slap to the face that Liochant is kinda weird, like, why is he there? Where did he come from? What plot relevance does he have aside from being a perfect angel of a Bean and Garroth not liking him? Seriously, I love him to death but why is he HERE? There must be SOME sort of SOMETHING that he does in the future we never get to see, right? I mean, he doesn’t really resemble her at all aside from maybe the skin tone, he has brown hair and brown eyes while she has red hair and purple eyes, which usually I would dismiss because like I said before it’s been hundreds of years, the chance of them having that much of a resemblance is minuscule, but seeing as this is Minecraft Diaries where as we’ve already seen at least three out of the five descendants look almost identical to their ancestors, it seems like kind of a big thing. That’s just my theory though, less of a theory honestly and more of a hunch, or something along those lines. Just thought I’d share while I’m here.

Ok wait, I just saw a fanart with LimL!Martyn and an old portrait of 3L!Ren and had a thought. So I’m sure we’ve all seen AUs where all the life series are somehow connected, ya know, so, what if somehow after 3rd Life Martyn comes back? Or just managed to not die? Unfortunately he didn’t drown in 3L cause that would have made this all the better, but what if after his death he was so consumed by rage and despair at failing his king that he CAME BACK. Picture it. “Years after the fall of Dogwarts, the lands flood, water consumes the ruins they once called home, and a rotted body is claimed by the waves. Water runs red, and a hand rises once again, now claimed by the sea, the rotted holes filled with coral. All he remembers is red. Wandering the land, he longs for a king he can no longer remember the face of, killing those that he meets in cold blood, he becomes a horror story for those that remain.” And this is how we end up with the incredibly unstable Martyn we have at the end of Limited Life. Obviously it’s a little patchy since he wasn’t that unstable through all of LimL, plus Last Life and Double Life supposedly would’ve happened between the two seasons, but those are minor details. Oooo actually while I’m thinking about it, it’d be a little wonky cause of everyone else, but the details can be worked through later, what if DL happens before the events of 3L? So, they all had soulmates, and both Martyn and sorta Ren were rejected by theirs, and they found solace in each other. This was how the two met. After the events of DL the two left together, or maybe met again later on, and decided to start a kingdom together, the kingdom of Dogwarts. It kinda makes sense, if you ignore that anyone else exists, which we are, so yeah I’d say it makes sense :D

(Spoilers for the winner of Wild Life)

First of all, can we all give a huge congratulations to Joel, he absolutely deserved it, raising my glass to the king. And also, I wanna talk about my head canon for his winner’s lore. I like to think that Joel kinda did the same thing he did with Xornoth when he won, beat a practically all powerful being by telling them to go screw themselves. He got to the winners table or whatever, where every winner before him had been tied down and forced to suffer through having their memories tampered with or whatever theory you believe in. He met the watchers, they tried to shackle him and turn him into whatever they did to the other winners, and he just completely ignored them. Acted like they had zero power over him, like they were just annoying paparazzi he’d been dealing with his whole life, pushed them to the side and kept walking. Almost like he won to break the cycle, to prove a point, to free the other winners. And if we remember his lore in Empires season two, a big theory is that Joel’s true power is anything he believes becomes true. He believed he was a ten foot god? Became a ten foot god. He believed these other gods existed? Well now they do. (There were tons more examples but it’s been like two years since I watched it) If you take a piece from that lore, it makes even more sense. Joel looked at the watchers, these beings that had tormented people he cared about for years, and told them and himself that h they had no power. They were losers, looked stupid, couldn’t even keep their own lackeys in line, completely incompetent. And at least for him, that became reality. In a more animatic style description: he drove his car right through the watcher realm, ran over every watcher he saw, and then parked in front of his friends who had been forced to suffer after their wins, rolled down the window, looked over his sunglasses and went “you getting in or not?” And then drove them out of that nightmare dimension, right back home :)

Shhhhh, we’re ignoring the fact that it’s almost one AM, let me have this.

Blah blah blah, skip the intro, I was curious (I seem to do that a lot). I wanted to see if there were any song fics for “boys will be bugs” by Cavetown (go check them out they’re amazing), so I went to the search thing, and typed up “song:” (the “songfic” didn’t have very many results) and this is what popped up.

The fact that of the 16 most commonly typed results, 12 of them are Taylor Swift. Like, I get that her songs are great, but what the heck? XD

And if anyone was curious, Boys Will Be Bugs did have results, though only 16 which was mildly disappointing. But hey, at least there were options :)

I have literally been scrolling through the treebark tag since noon. Obviously with breaks for other stuff, but it never reset to the top, so I just kept coming back and continuing to read. In doing so I also spent forty minutes watching the improve demon roleplay they did because it was a clip they had a link to. I’m crying. Renchanting my beloved 😭

Honestly I kinda feel like I’m betraying desert duo, cause they’re my favorites and have been since I’ve been in the fandom, but now I feel like I might love treebark just a little more, and i don’t know how to feel TT

There really are the main five ships in the life series, at least that get a ton of coverage, the most popular ones. Renchanting/treebark, desert duo/scarian, flower husbands, ethubs, and ranchers. And those first three? They’re my babies. I love them to the end of the earth. I would kill for them. They were the OG ships of the life series! Later we got the other two, and some smaller ones, but to me those three will always be the life series main ships (and maybe ranchers, sorry ethubs), and I can’t handle how much I love them!

Ughhhhhhhhh 💢 You ever get a follower, and you’re super excited, and they message you, and you click on it, and it’s some “I’m really thirsty~ could you help me quench my thirst?” Crap? And then your entire day is just ruined, because not only did you not get a follower, which while not that big a deal because you weren’t expecting one, is now suddenly a big deal cause you thought you got one, but you also feel like you’ve been singled out as some sex driven idiot who would fall for that kind of crap and message them back! AGH! I’m so upset >:(

Y’know what I’ve just realized, that I really should have realized sooner? I cannot allow myself to open tumblr until after I have watched the new secret life episodes. Every, single, post, is, a spoiler!

Uh, so I looked at the note I’ve been writing on (I transfer it to docs to see the word count) and I started this sorta fic at exactly 12:00 AM on the 24th, and have been writing on it every day since. Do I have a problem? Am I the problem? Is the problem caused by me? I don’t even know where I’m supposed to go with this fic, like it’s a ranchers duo, but also I wrote a version of the first scene where it’s like “ranchers about to be wholesome- BOOM Scott coming in with the flower husbands! 👀 who’s he gonna pick? This an episode of the bachelor? What’s going on?” And so now I have the first scene with just Tango, and the first scene with Tango and Scott, and I don’t know which to pick. And I can’t figure out how to finish the one with Scott, but I’ve finished the one without him, but also stuff that I’m very much planning on writing later requires Scott to be there, but if I have him there then that changes things. And now I’ve just skipped to the angst! Like I have chapter one done (if I can pick between the two versions) but everything between that and like ten or something is just completely unmade. I don’t even have any ideas. But then we’re over here with some chapter fifteen, sixteen stuff, and then I completely ditched that because I wanted to write more angst so I skipped all the way to like chapter thirty five! And I’m saying this as though I have a lay out of where the chapters go, and where the plot goes, or any ideas outside of what I’ve written. I don’t. I’m just writing my feelings, which is what I always do, and sometimes we end up with epic stories.

When you see a YouTubers thumbnail and think “woah, are they making a video on one of the AUs from tumblr? That style looks exactly like the fanart, how crazy!” And then realize “oh yeah, that’s because Cherri works for said YouTuber. As their thumbnail artist. Which they’ve said many times. Which means that the fanart I see on tumblr, is in fact drawn by the same person who draws the thumbnails.” :D me and myself, just being dumb.

I still remember how I felt the first time I saw a nether hub on a server. I was so little back then, probably like eight or something, the idea was so new to me, I don’t think I even knew that nether travel was faster back then! I think it was on TimeShot, I bet most of you don’t even know what that is, wow look at me talking like I’m part of some far gone generation, but really, I could barely find it when I looked it up! That was back when granite was a new block! I remember no one was allowed to go too far away from spawn for a while because they didn’t want to ruin the spawning of the new stone blocks. It was crazy, having a “nether hub”, everyone had a portal at their base! I couldn’t even believe it! Imagine having to mine all that obsidian, it was incredible, and then the actual hub! There was a central area and then tunnels going off to everyone’s portals, and it looked so professional! Man, I haven’t watched Seri since I was little, I wonder how she’s doing? And Poet for that matter. Who else was on that server? I can’t even remember, compared to HermitCraft it all seems so small, not an smp, just some friends playing together on their server. Oh how I miss when things were simple.
