Oh boy, Glitch's done it again.
so these screenshots of Glassdoor reviews from Glitch employees have been making the rounds on Twitter recently. now i personally cannot confirm or deny the truth of the allegations told in these screenshots, but i do know this: Glassdoor is a website where employees can review the working conditions they face at the company they're employed at. it's a well-known fact that Glassdoor doesn't allow just anyone to post a review there unverified; they have to show ample proof that they actually were employed at the company they say they were. so, we can operate under the assumption that these reviews are, most likely, more or less a legitimate look into Glitch Production's inner workings. however, if i'm wrong, please let me know. tl;dr: these reviews essentially state that Glitch treats its female employees like shit (what a surprise), sets ridiculously unrealistic expectations for its workers, resorts to intimidation and threats on multiple occasions, and even coerces workers to write false good reviews to boost their Glassdoor ratings (among other horrible shit). and Boy, am i not surprised but still somehow disappointed. honestly, i didn't think my respect for glitch could sink any lower, but here we are, i guess. apparently this is the same company that's going to be "paving the way for a new generation of indie artists" or whatever. more like falling back on the very same underpaying, overworking, greedy, toxic abusive bullshit that's been plaguing the animation and entertainment industries for decades now. great work guys, thanks! you're a stain on our history and the future of animation is even deeper in the pits than it ever was. we're one step back from ever redefining and reworking the rampant malpractice, mistreatment and dehumanization going on behind closed doors. link to Glitch's Glassdoor page: https://www.glassdoor.com/Reviews/Glitch-Productions-Reviews-E8656356.htm Link to twitter posts with screenshots and summaries: https://x.com/lumirunner/status/2057519161648333178 https://x.com/lumirunner/status/2057800789977174404

Queer creators and stories aren’t immune to criticism; you need to understand that being queer or including queer characters in stories doesn’t automatically make them “good,” and that not all criticism is bigotry. Should we be supportive of more queer stories and representation? Yes, but that doesn’t mean we can’t be critical about it.
I’m sorry, but “Isn’t She Lovely?” was a weird song choice for Jax’s montage because Stevie Wonder dedicated that song to his daughter, singing about his love for her and how precious she is to him. Goose should’ve chosen another song because “Isn’t She Lovely?” just didn’t fit.
The reason why people are still referring to Jax by male pronouns is because he was throughout TADC's finale. After the minescape scene, Pomni still addresses him by "he/him," and so does the rest of the cast. Now, Leeroy Mateo, who is Jax's real-life counterpart, goes by male pronouns, but they're meant to be two separate individuals like everyone else. Simply put, people are referring to Jax by he/him because the show continues to.
Does this mean it's wrong to refer to Jax by female pronouns? No, because it's shown that he was an egg who repressed who he was and never came out.

"This ad is auto-playing audio" is literally on the drop down menu for reporting an ad. Tumblr isn't trying to implement this! Don't protest this "new policy", cause it's not one.

They are not supposed to automatically redirect you without you clicking them, they are not supposed to cause a pop-up, they are not supposed to freeze your screen.
This is all bugs or malicious advertising which is also against tumblers ad policy. You should report all ads which do this.

Jonathan Joss was an Indigenous, gay man who was murdered on the first day of Pride month as well as Indigenous History Month. He died protecting his trans husband. Homophobia and racism aren’t marks of the past, and this is a heart breaking reminder of that.

Today is the anniversary of the death of Jonathan Joss (King of the Hill, Parks and Rec). Jonathan Joss was an Indigenous, gay man who died protecting his transgender husband, on the first day of Pride month. Today we remember him and how he protected his family.
Also I just saw some idiot being like "no one's ever gonna want to make an indie show again if TADC's finale is bad!!!"
