If you struggle to be gainfully employed in the "there are no fucking jobs, everything pays pennies, and disabled people are being intentionally left to die" economy, people will treat you like you personally shat on their front porch for wanting to exist and maybe occasionally enjoy anything at all.
I got shamed for buying kombucha that was on sale for $2.99 because it's not a necessity and apparently being poor means that you shouldn't have anything that brings you a little happiness.
If some rich asshole who doesn't even bother to tip service workers can make frivolous purchases of $5k on a whim, without checking their account, then you should buy kombucha that's on sale for $2.99.
Or whatever your thing is.
