The deafening cheers and applause from the crowd flooded your ears as you took to the stage, guitar slung low over your hips. You pushed your teased-up bangs from your eyes to take a look at the audience, grinning and waving as you sauntered to your spot on the stage.
With a huge smile, you swung the neck of your guitar up and strummed a huge chord, holding out the wailing sound as the crowd cheered impossibly louder. This was absolutely the best moment of every night on tour.
Little did you know, there was an extra special guest watching you from the wings tonight. Someone you weren’t expecting for at least another three weeks.
Axl had managed to set a break in his band’s recording schedule a little earlier than expected. With his time off, he’d been planning to come see you on tour. Him arriving early would be the ultimate surprise, but he wanted to watch you play the show first. Axl loved seeing you in your natural element, charming the crowd with your wicked skills and effortless good looks.
He stood to the side of the stage, hidden behind stacked amplifiers and drawn curtains. Arms crossed, a fond smile on his face, Axl watched with sparkling eyes as you strolled the stage, your fingers pulling unbelievable sounds from your instrument. He still couldn’t believe he’d captured the attention of someone like you.
You and Axl were each other’s first boyfriends, the relationship forming unexpectedly after you were introduced at an event hosted by your record labels. Axl had appreciated your smart humor and humble personality, drawn to someone who let his real self shine in a sea of flashy and fake Hollywood elite. The two of you couldn’t seem to stop your conversation all night, eventually finding opportunities to meet up again outside of work because of how much you’d enjoyed each other’s company.
He hadn’t known about your identity at first—you usually didn’t tell people unless it was something that had to come up. As you got more physically comfortable with each other, you realized you were going to have to bring it up with him.
He’d been a little confused and distant at first, and you’d felt absolutely crushed that this might ruin the most genuine connection you’d ever made. If Axl appreciated how authentic you were about everything else in your life, how could he not accept this?
After he showed up at your door with a bundle of roses and an embarrassed apology, though, you realized things might work out after all.
Now, Axl applauded and whistled throughout the show, his gaze never straying from your face and your movements. As you waved and bowed to the crowd, Axl watched with a small, fond smile.
You turned the corner of the stage, still riding the high from the show with wide eyes and a huge smile. You pulled your guitar over your head and handed it off to who you thought was a crew member—but as you caught a closer look, your mouth opened in shock and you nearly dropped your guitar to the floor.
Axl held the neck of your guitar tight, keeping it from hitting the floor. He smirked knowingly, enjoying how surprised you were by seeing him. “Great show, baby,” he said lovingly as he leaned in to press a kiss to your cheek.
His hand slid around your waist to land in the back pocket of your jeans, pulling you against his side. You turned your head to stare into his eyes, giving him a smile back. “Dunno how you got here, but I’m glad to see you,” you said with a smile, pressing your own small kiss against his jaw.
Axl grinned, leading you away by the hand still placed on your hip.

It hadn’t taken much time back at the hotel room for you and Axl to get comfortable with each other. You’d been making out on the bed for almost half an hour but you hadn’t gotten much further than taking off shoes and shirts. It didn’t seem like things were moving quickly anytime soon, but that felt right for tonight. You loved having slow and soft time with Axl like this, a side of each other only saved for when you were alone.
Axl moved the small kisses he had been placing on your lips to your neck, flicking his tongue out every so often to make you giggle. The kisses slowly trailed down your shoulder to your elbow, and he then lifted your hand gently so he could press kisses to your hand.
“So much talent here,” he mumbled as he kissed each knuckle. You flushed a bit at his praise, his eyes staring up at you earnestly. He then did the same to your other hand, holding it up so gently as he pressed his light kisses.
The kisses then found their way back to your neck, which he then started traveling down the middle of your chest. You blushed again as he got closer to such a sensitive part of you, but you brought your arms up to hold his back and press him closer to you as he did so.
You couldn’t help taking a nervous breath in as his kisses finally reached the thin scars under your pecs. Axl kissed along the horizontal lines, then pressed one larger kiss to the very middle of your chest. “You’re so handsome,” he groaned, turning his head to lay against your torso. “So handsome everywhere.”

All the way back to your teenage years, when you'd been out skating and riding bikes with your friends in the neighborhoods of LA, Slash had pulled up on his bike and claimed to be able to do a jump that none of you had landed yet. You scoffed in disbelief at him, already feeling offended at how bold he was to say something like that to strangers. But to your surprise, he pulled off the trick with ease, his long curls streaming out behind his helmet and his face set with a determined stare as he launched himself off the top of the hill.
You didn't want to admit it, but the jump was really impressive. And the way he looked while doing it was pretty hot too. No matter how attractive he was though, his cocky and boasting attitude about it got under your skin, and that annoyance simmered into hatred every time you ran into each other again.

You’d already had a few drinks, feeling loose and tipsy as you drifted through the pulsing crowd inside the club. Clutching your cold bottle of beer to your chest, you shoved through the crowd, bumping shoulders with people until you reached the wall.
Sighing deeply, you threw your head back against the cool, hard surface and closed your eyes for a moment, hoping your head would stop spinning enough to mingle with the crowd again. You were really hoping to pick someone up tonight, but that wouldn’t happen if you were too sloshed to flirt with the handful of cute guys you’d bumped into on the dance floor. You’d worn your favorite denim vest with the ratty, torn off sleeves in hopes of getting someone’s attention.

His soft, brown eyes sparkled from under his hair as they caught the light, staring directly into yours. He still looked as teasing as ever, but something about him tonight looked a little earnest too. Almost like his guard was down, here in the dark corner where you were both a little buzzed.
He took a step closer and you watched him open his mouth, only inches away. “But you could be,” he mumbled, his voice sounding determined as a hand came up to cup your jaw. Before you could even react, he was leaning in with a sigh, his lips pressing against yours strongly as he almost fell against your body. Your eyes flew open, eyebrows raised with confusion before squeezing shut again as your lips moved with the kiss.
You pulled off of him, your mouth open and eyes squeezed shut in disbelief. “What the fuck,” you panted out, hand clenched tightly in his shirt. Slash just laughed softly under his breath, boxing you in between his legs.
“I fucking hate you,” you groaned as he pushed his body up against yours even harder. Slash just huffed, his plush lips smirking teasingly. God, even that got on your nerves. It was another long night of partying at the Hell House, and by the time it reached midnight, everyone around was certainly wasted. The band had started by going out for drinks and watching music at the Rainbow, and when the show ended, most of the beautiful women at the bar had joined them back home for more alcohol and the promise of a good time.
Most of them were sitting around and chatting loudly, the girls around them or in their laps while hands wandered lazily.
“Spin the bottle!” Came a shout from the corner, and Steven walked to the center of the room with an empty whiskey bottle in hand. The others turned to look at him while he smiled big and goofy back.
Slash started to laugh. “Oh, this’ll be good,” he grinned, and pulled his girlfriend by the hand toward the game, who squealed but followed along with a blush. Izzy glanced at the others and shrugged before smiling a bit as he made his way to the circle as well. Axl sighed heavily, realizing he wasn’t going to get out of Steven’s stupid game.
“Fine, fine,” he grumbled, leading his girl by the waist toward the others. He kissed her neck and she giggled a bit as everyone settled into the circle.
Steven smiled at all of them and reached out to place the bottle in the middle. “Alright—everyone gets two skips, but you gotta do a dare from the other person if you skip ‘em, okay?” He explained, and looked up to make sure everyone was following along. “I guess I’ll go first,” he said with a grin, twisting the bottle hard to send it spinning across the floor.
They all watched as the bottle came to a stop, pointing at the woman sitting with Axl. Steven’s grin stretched even wider, obviously happy that he got the chance to piss off Axl a bit. He reached for the woman’s hand and pulled her to meet him in the middle, where they shared a heated kiss for a few seconds while the others whistled and whooped around them.
“Attaboy, Stevie!” Duff cheered teasingly, winking at Axl who scowled at them both. The girl stumbled to sit back next to Axl, flushed and giggling after her turn with Stevie.
Steven licked his lips a bit after sitting back, smiling around at the others before passing on the bottle. Around the circle it went, again and again, with most of them accepting kisses from the girls and occasionally each other.
Duff passed on a turn with Izzy, who was then forced to lick the floor as his dare punishment. The others made disgusted sounds and faces as he chugged from his bottle of vodka afterwards to wash out the nasty taste. Steven passed on Axl and had to moon the rest of the circle, but he accepted kisses from both Duff and Slash playfully. The drunker they all got, the more willing they all seemed to get to suck it up and kiss one another.
Then, Izzy’s spin of the bottle landed on Axl. Axl immediately looked up at Izzy across the circle with wide eyes, unsure of what to do. “I—maybe we should pass—“ he started to say, trying to stare into Izzy’s dark eyes and see how he felt about it. They’d been friends so long—they just couldn’t! Could they?
Slash’s voice cut in from beside him. “C’monnn, don’t be a pussy!” He slurred, obviously very wasted by now. Axl was about to speak again, telling Izzy to just give him a dare, when Izzy leaned over and pressed their lips together firmly.
Axl’s heart started to race, but before he could think about what he was doing, he started melting into the kiss and parted his lips against Izzy’s slightly. Izzy took the opportunity to lick Axl’s bottom lip and slip his tongue into his mouth, and the kiss grew heated quickly. Axl found himself getting lost in Izzy, his hands even reaching up to grab at Izzy’s shirt. They only broke apart at a squeal of laughter from one of the girls, which had Axl shooting backwards away from Izzy in surprise.
Izzy just stared at him with his dark eyes, wiping his mouth as he sat back down in his seat. The others seemed a little lost in their own worlds, either chatting up with their girls or zoning out from drunkenness. Slash and his girlfriend had fully moved out of the circle, laying on top of the couch while making out.
Izzy glanced at Axl, then nodded in the direction of the hallway where the bedrooms were. Axl took a moment to breathe deeply, trying to decide if he wanted to try taking things further with Izzy. After breathing out, he looked up to Izzy and nodded once, and Izzy gave him a small smile back.
He stood up, reaching for Axl’s hand, who grasped it tightly as Izzy pulled him to his feet. Izzy’s hand was tough, covered in calluses with thin, strong fingers. It felt right holding Axl’s as they snuck past the others and down the hall, smiling shyly all the way.

You and Axl had been together for just over a year now. Most people hadn’t thought you two would last, considering how chaotic the rockstar lifestyle could be, and balancing two of them together? Typically not a recipe for success. But to the surprise of everyone, you had made it work, even moving into your first place together a few months ago.
Axl had come to see your band perform on a Saturday night at the Troubador, back when his band was only playing Monday or Tuesday night slots. Your crew was the hottest on the Sunset Strip, and back then you were only weeks out from signing your first record deal. When the show had ended, Axl had slunk his way backstage to introduce himself to the band: making connections with other musicians was important to keep booking gigs.
The pair of you had really hit it off, sharing similar dry and witty humor but also wanting to discuss serious topics too. One thing led to another that night, and after Axl had woken up in your bed the next morning you two were inseparable.
Now, a year and a few months later, you were headlining a tour across the world promoting the release of your debut album. Guns N’ Roses had started taking off in that time as well, and with some convincing by Axl and you, you’d managed to book them as one of the opening bands, meaning you and Axl got to spend months together playing for rowdy audiences and exploring beautiful countries you’d never seen.
Guns was just finishing up their set, which you’d been watching from the wings attentively. You would always be impressed with how much of himself Axl gave the audience every night, putting all his intensity into every performance. Not to mention, his stage outfits and makeup looks made him look extra attractive. Especially when he wore those leather chaps.
Unfortunately, tonight he’d decided on leather pants that covered his whole ass, not just part of it. He still looked good running and shaking all over the stage, though. And besides, you’d definitely get to see everything you wanted back in your hotel room later tonight. You smirked to yourself as Axl and the band made their way off the stage in your direction.
“Hey,” Axl greeted you out of breath, but he couldn’t help smiling as he saw you standing in the shadows, your guitar hanging off your shoulder. He reached out to grab at your biceps and pull you closer, to which you happily obliged.

Axl walked the two of you backwards a bit more, further into the shadows, and captured your mouth in an open kiss.

The sound of footsteps rushing by reminded you where you were. Before you could react, a voice whined out, “Aw, they’re down each other’s throats again!” You and Axl turned to see a huge cloud of hair right behind your shoulder.

Slash just grinned cheekily, shaking his head. “Watch out Ax’—I think he’s gonna eat you alive.”

You turned your attention back to Axl with a sly grin. “Well, he was right about one thing,” you murmured, pulling Axl’s face close again.
“Yea?” He replied, starting to smirk as well.
“Yeah,” you said. “I’m gonna tear you the fuck apart,” you warned before kissing him deeply again, your tongue licking inside his mouth to claim him. Then you slipped away, leaving him dazed and wanting as you made your way to the stage with your hand on your guitar and one last wink in his direction.

He rolled over to face Izzy, throwing a leg over his waist to pull them close to each other again. “Good morning,” he mumbled in his deep voice, kissing the underside of Izzy’s jaw. Izzy hummed, extremely content.
“Merry Christmas,” he whispered back, staring into Axl’s eyes for a second before pecking his lips.
Axl’s eyes went wider as he remembered what day it was. “You too,” he said with a smile. He grinned even wider as Izzy’s hand gently squeezed his hip.
Their peaceful quiet was interrupted by the muffled sound of stomping and shouting outside their door. Izzy closed his eyes and sighed, his serene mood broken by their excited and noisy roommates. “Should we join them?” Axl asked, smiling because he knew Izzy would rather stay here, alone and quiet.
Izzy groaned, shoving his face into Axl’s chest. “Five more minutes,” he complained, and Axl had to agree.

Eventually they drug themselves out of bed and into the living room, where the others were already waiting around the big tree they’d spent a portion of the album advance on. Slash didn’t seem totally awake either, and with his messy bed hair covering his eyes, he might’ve actually fallen back asleep on the couch. Izzy wasn’t sure. Steven on the other hand seemed wide awake. He was sitting criss-cross on the big recliner and rocking back and forth with a big smile.
Izzy raised an eyebrow as he shoved Slash over to make room for him and Axl on the couch. “Excited, are we?” he said sarcastically, watching Steven squirm. “You’re Jewish. You don’t even do Christmas,” Izzy grumbled, rubbing his forehead. God, he needed some coffee for this.
Steven shrugged. “Presents are presents, man,” he bounced in his seat on the chair. He was then distracted by Duff walking into the room with two big steaming mugs in his hand, both of them having candy canes hooked over the edges of the cup. Steven’s smile grew even bigger as Duff handed one of the mugs to him, sniffing the sweet smell of cocoa and humming happily. Duff laughed and ruffled the drummer’s hair before taking a seat at Steven’s feet.
Axl groaned at their cheeriness. “You’re giving him sugar this early?” he complained, giving the two blonds a grumpy look from underneath the blanket Izzy had tucked around him. “He’s already a mess.”
Steven stuck out his tongue at Axl and blew some spit his way before taking a sip out of his mug. He immediately cried out in pain and spit the cocoa back into the cup as it burned his tongue. That got Axl howling with laughter, and even Izzy had to bite his cheek to keep from smiling too much as Duff tried to comfort a whining Steven.
Slash surprised them all by groaning and rolling over, shoving his face into the couch pillow. “Fuck, are we gonna do these presents or what?” he moaned, obviously still tired and wanting to get back to bed.
Axl laughed, leaning his head on Izzy’s shoulder. “Yeah, we’ll open ‘em up now.”
And that they did. They passed around gifts, taking turns ripping the paper off and showing off what everyone had gotten them. As the pile got smaller, Axl took the opportunity when Duff, Slash, and Steven were distracted by gifts to each other to sneak Izzy’s gift to him.
“Merry Christmas, babe,” he whispered, handing Izzy two boxes stacked on top of each other. Izzy blushed a little bit as he set them in his lap and started tearing the wrapping paper. His eyes softened as he opened the first box to see a box of very fancy Cuban cigars. He knew that money wasn’t as much of an issue for them anymore as it had been only a few months ago, but he still wasn’t used to receiving something that cost so much.
“Thank you,” he mumbled, reaching over to rub Axl’s thigh. Axl just smiled and nudged at him to open the second box, a lot larger and longer than the first one.
Izzy pulled at the ribbon and opened the cardboard and was shocked to see four shiny red wheels inside. “Shit, Ax, you didn’t,” he gasped softly. He pulled out the skateboard and held it out in front of him, admiring the skull design on the bottom.
Axl kissed his cheek, feeling very proud of his gift. “I knew you’d been missing your old one,” he explained. Izzy had been big on skateboarding in high school, but had to sell his board last year when the band was low on cash. Axl knew he hadn’t stopped loving the sport and hoped he’d get back into it now that he had a new board of his own.
“I love it,” Izzy said gratefully. He turned to give Axl a small, loving kiss on the lips as he set the board in his lap. “C’mon, your turn,” he encouraged, leaning over to grab the boxes he’d gotten for Axl.
Axl smiled at Izzy, his eyes soft with love. “You know I can’t resist being spoiled,” he joked as he pulled off the paper. Izzy knew Axl well enough to tell that the humor was his way of trying to feel more comfortable with the attention of getting a gift—it wasn’t something he’d done too many times before. Izzy hoped his gifts were good enough.
Axl’s grin turned from sweet to pleased as he saw the first gift. It was a bottle of expensive Bordeaux, and Izzy had got Axl’s name engraved on the bottle. “I thought we could save it for a nice dinner, or something,” Izzy said shyly as Axl admired the gift.
Axl kissed his cheek while turning the bottle over to read the engraving. “It looks delicious,” he said. “I can’t wait to share it with you.”
Two more presents in square boxes followed. Axl hummed as he opened the smaller box, revealing three large, silver rings set in a velvet box. Two had big stones and one was the GNR logo stamped onto the surface. “They’re beautiful,” he said with a huge smile, putting them onto his fingers to test the size.
Finally, he opened the last box and pulled out something black and heavy from the colorful paper. His eyes went wide as he saw the custom design on the leather jacket—skeleton bones in white leather had been stitched onto the jacket. “Oh, Izzy,” he gasped, holding it up to get a better look. “This is so perfect.”
Izzy leaned into Axl’s side, feeling proud that he’d impressed his boyfriend with his gifts. “It just felt like you when I saw it,” he murmured.
Axl set the jacket down and cupped Izzy’s cheek in his hand, pulling him in for a long kiss. As the lights on the Christmas tree twinkled and the soft sound of laughter from the others filled the background, they knew this was already the best holiday either of them had ever had.
