It's hard to be unkind and to be well-loved at the same time. [she grins and goes inside as well] But thanks. Now, where's the... Ah, there it is! [she makes a beeline for the information desk]
He only called me sunflower because I was born in the heart of winter, but when he brought me home, there was a sunflower blooming in the yard. So, I always had a weird obsession with sunflowers. Wow you have a lot of siblings. I’m sorry to hear about Mara though. Lots of those names are from books, and two are Swedish. Interesting choices. I did have a sister, but she’s dead, died after a few months.
That's... How long does it take for a sunflower to grow? [she purses her lips, thinking] But that's quite a good reason for a nickname, and for your quote-on-quote "obsession". Sorry, I'm just not a big fan of the word, but it's whatever, really. [she chuckles] Ah, well, I was a baby back then, so I didn't know her very well. It was sad, though, I remember. Lots of sad times back then. I remember how much Mickey and them would fight with dad about how much they hated their names. [she shrugs] I'm sorry about your sister. Mara was nine, but no matter when, death is always sad.
[She nodded] Yeah, b-better. S-S-Sorry.
No need to apologize for being yourself, but it's fine - now I know. [she opens the door and gestures for Rachel to go on in] Ladies first, madame.
I-I don’t like, like pe-people touc-ch-touching me.
[Rowan let's go of Rachel's hand and smiles] Better?

[she stays behind the pillar, her hands constantly flitting to her hair, her clothes, trying to look perfect but never feeling perfect] Thank you. Thank you for not looking and I’m sorry, so sorry I ran, I mean it was very very rude, and ladies should never run in dresses. Oh! My name is Nora, Nora Elizabeth Michaels. I like it because it sounds like a character from a book. What’s your name?
[Rowan blinks, and grins] You're fine, Nora! Running in dresses is only ridiculous because it's so hard to run. Gah. But I'm Rowan... [she chuckles] Rowan Isolde Janz.
Well it’s less my first name than my last name. My full name is actually Summer Holiday. I feel like it makes me sound unprofessional. my father always called me sunflower, but he couldn’t make that a legal name, so Summer it was.
Summer Holiday. I like it. [she grins] Sunflower, though... [she shrugs] Maybe not that one, not so much. My parent's where funny about names. My siblings were - are - Mikhail - he goes by Mickey -, Ezra, Mara - she's dead - and her twin brother Nate, Lorelei, and Catherine. And then me. The Baby. Rowan Isolde. [she laughs] Do you have any siblings?
[She followed Rowan] I-I don’t, don’t..n-nevermind.
You don't what? [she reaches the doors of the building and pauses, turning and staring at Rachel, swinging their hands and smirking]
Sun down, Mary go round!
[from her hiding place, she manages to compose herself enough to speak] I… Please don’t look at me. I… It’s really really bad, so bad when people do. It’s never good, no, never ever good when people look at me. It only hurts and I don’t want to be seen. Please just stay over there if you want to talk.
[she stops, sighs as she runs her fingers through her hair, and flops down onto the ground] Okay, then! [she sighs again, thinking for a moment] What's your name?
Well, I like it too, which is more than I can say for my own name.
Why don't you like your name, Summer?
It-It’s up t-t-to you.
Well, let's go, then. [she grabs Rachel's hand and begins walking across the plaza]
Sun down, Mary go round!
[she moves her hands away from her face, but when she sees Rowan still looking at her, her eyes tear up and her breathing begins to become irregular. She runs to the nearest building and hides behind one of the support pillars]
[Rowan is about to say something when Nora runs off] HEY! WAIT. I-...am yelling at my housemate. Who is running away. Okay. [she blinks, shoves her hands in her pockets, and saunters after Nora] Look, I'm not gonna do anything! I live with you, for Christ's sake!
Like a Rowan tree, correct?
You are correct. [she grins] I don't know why they chose it, but hey, I like it. [she shrugs]

Well, considering I’m here already, I suppose I shall pause my course of action and we can talk. [she extends a hand] The name’s Summer, and yours is?
Well, thanks for your time. [she shakes Summer's hand] I'm Rowan.

[when Rowan speaks, Nora’s eyes widen and she stands, covering her face with her hands, falling mute]
Uh... Okay. Are you...alright? [she tilts her head to the left, pursing her lips] I'm not gonna, like, bite you or anything.
I-I can’t argue against, against that.
But um, the the center s-s-should be, be close.
Just across this plaza, in fact. Do you want to part ways here, or carry on and go to the library together?
