It was a known fact that Velour could very much take care of herself. Having lived on the dangerous streets of Paris for five or so years, she had grown used to fighting for survival. It had become second nature to her at best. Still, as much as she was all for brawling with people — especially those who had clearly down her wrong and/or annoyed the living daylights out of her — seeing her uncle get down and dirty for once did have its merits.Â
She was so used to him being prime and proper, as she’d call it. While Velour knew of his and her father’s backgrounds, Leon never seemed to be the sort to attack just out of the blue. Of course, the drunkard calling her a name in a threatening manner did give him a reason to attack, but still.Â
After having been dragged out of the club, one would think Velour would have been highly upset. But it couldn’t have been farther from the truth.Â
“That. Was. Amazing!” she squeals. “I mean, thank you. Even though I-I could have…you know.”Â
“I don’t doubt it.” Velour had shown more often than not that she was more than able to get herself out of any situation. “You just remind me of my younger sister.” Though far from being conventionally similar, Velour and Elise shared some traits. Lively in their own way to say the least.Â
“And Flannel wouldn’t let me hear the end of it if I let a scratch get on you while we’re out together.”Â
Reunion - Kamui & Leon
Why couldn’t anyone understand her intentions for leaving her so-called family behind was because they lied to her for 17 years? If anything, the reason for doing so was to be expected. No person would continue living a lie even after knowing the truth. That especially went for Kamui. The burden of living a double life was too much, and she simply could not continue living under a house with people she once thought as family.Â
“I wouldn’t except you to know nor care,” she murmurs. “We never really saw eye-to-eye so my departure shouldn’t have bothered you so much.” She then sends him a chilling glare at the mention of their — his — big brother. There was absolutely no need to bring him into this.Â
“Camilla and Elise were definitely more upset. Unfortunately, I cared enough about them to bring you up with father.” Looking over their conversation, Leon saw that they were getting nowhere. Bickering aside, nothing of value was coming out of this and it was almost exasperating hearing her say things that he’d already figured out for himself.Â
“Have you really got nothing to say for yourself?”Â

“If I don’t help fund the production of bad movies, how am I supposed to keep myself entertained?  Besides, plenty of people are seeing the good movies.  We’re all alone in here, which means you get to do movie commentary without bothering anyone.”
“I’m doing commentary?” He hadn’t been paying attention to what was on screen, and if the blood curdling screams meant anything, he missed the point. “It could be worse I suppose.”Â
Movie Hopping |Leon & Miyuki
The theater was completely dark beside the lighting from the screen meaning Miyuki did have the advantage. He sneaks up the steps to the back rows of seats. He hides himself behind a seat that wasn’t near anyone and chuckles lightly to himself.
Hearing the threat Miyuki rolls his eyes. So what if the only way out is the emergency exit.
There is no way he can catch me when I’ve got speed and stealth on my side.Â
Clicking on a flashlight, Leon started from the bottom of the theater, ignoring the curious looks that other movie goers were throwing him. As the showing was already in progress, the rows were already full, Leon soon gave up trying to use the light to find the movie hopper.Â
As he traveled up the rows, he took care to make sure that he hadn’t passed by his target. But it wasn’t on a seat that Leon finally found him, but behind one. With light steps he approached the huddled figure, finally tapping him on the shoulder with the end of his flashlight. “End of the line.”Â
Service with a Smile - Shinkai & Leon
Watching as the other slowly grabbed all the things he’d ordered, his stomach gave an growl of anticipation, ready to break into half of the bags the moment he got to his seat.
Pulling his wallet from his back pocket, the cyclist pulled out his card, sliding it across the counter.Â
Giving a small smile when he was asked the volume of people the order was for he just chuckled, he was used to being asked such things, his fast metabolism and activity filled lifestyle kept him with a basically bottomless pit.
“Nah just me” He explained, reaching out to start shoving the candy into his pockets to leave his hands free for the larger pieces. “It’s a long movie, got to be prepared” He ginned, flashing a wink to the man behind the counter.
Rolling his eyes, Leon snorted. Taking the card, he slid it across the card reader, and took note of the name that slashed across the screen. “Well, Mr. Shinkai Hayato, your payment went through. But you’re either going to have to grow another arm or make another trip if you want to carry all of this with you.”Â
Offering back the credit card, Leon eyed the packages that still littered the counter top. “I could lend a hand if you want.”Â
Dusk Till Dawn - Riku & Leon
“Yeah, I figured as much,” he responded as he followed the blond out of the alcove and down the street, somewhat keeping an eye on their surroundings for anything that may be out of place. While he may not have gotten to good of a look at the guys who had been following them, he figured he may or may not be able to recognize them. If anything the guy with him would and they’d move locations when the time came for it. “That makes two of us,” he said, stopping beside the blond as said blond seemed to take an interest in the cafe they stood outside of; “uh, sure?” He replied, somewhat thrown off by the others ease at the situration they seemed to be in. “I have to admit, I kind of want to ask what’s going on exactly, but at the same time I feel like I"m better off not knowing or just knowing the bare minimum, at least for now.”
“Can I at least know your name?” He asked, turning his attention to the blond, “mine’s Riku.”
“There’s an explanation available, but for now it wouldn’t help you to know anything.” If Leon could keep details to a minimum, he could give Riku the bare bones and leave him to fill in the rest himself.Â
Though far from at ease, Leon put no a front, and advised the other to do so as well. “Just act natural for now. Blending in with the crowd is what we’re aiming for.”Â
“You can call me Leon.”Â
Dusk Till Dawn - Riku & Leon
“Not that it’s any of my business, but maybe you should look into getting some new friends, if that’s what they’re like when they’re pissed off at you,” he said, somewhat not believing the blond’s response about them being friends. “I don’t think it matters much whether I mind or not, seeing as I don’t think I have much a choice, no?” He asked, already knowing that them getting away that easily wouldn’t be the end of it, “and I’m thinking they aren’t just friends pissed off at you by the fact that we have to lay low for who knows how long.”
“Maybe business partners is a better way to put it.” Half to himself, Leon began weaving a path through the crowd. Somewhere with throngs of people would be the best place to stay, and hopefully they’d be clear before too long.Â
“If you value your safety it’s true that you don’t have many options.” Passing by a brightly lit cafe, Leon debated entering. There was a large window in the storefront, so keeping an eye out wouldn’t be too difficult. And they would be able to change locations should it come down to it. “Again, I apologize for taking up your time, but I’d hate it if you ended up as collateral damage. Don’t suppose you’d be interested in a snack while you wait?”Â
Talk To Me || Leon & Eli
Merely letting out a sigh of defeat, Eli crossed her arms as a form of self-comfort. She leaned in a bit before merely staring at them with confusion evident in her expression.
“Look, I don’t know exactly what was happening, but it didn’t look savory at all.” “I just.. hope it isn’t too bad.”
She glanced away in return, uncomfortable with the situation on hand. Sure, she saw what happened, but barely really except when he looked over.Â
“I didn’t think much until you came over and tried to buy me.”
“Rest assured, what happened was legal.” On most grounds. “I’d just like to make sure that word of it stayed between us.” The other was in the dark, and it was probably for the best. But he could see that she feeling uneasy.Â
“Maybe we can start over. I’m Leon.” Though, at this point, he was fairly sure that she didn’t want anything to do with him.Â
Dusk Till Dawn - Riku & Leon
He’d been on another run to the store, buying some needed spices his mother had forgotten to grab when she’s done the shopping the day before; when he’d painfully collided with a blond who had seemed to be in a hurry as he’d turned the very corner Riku had just been making his way past. He gripped at his head with his one empty hand, a groan of pain slipping past his lips. He hated hitting his head on anything, it always hurt for what felt like hours when in reality it was only a few minutes or seconds. He paid no mind to the shouts coming from behind the blond as he pulled his hand away from his sore head and looked at who’d crashed into him; he didn’t get a good enough look at the blond before he was being grabbed by said blond and dragged away for who knows whatever reason. Not that he needed to worry about the lack of reason as he looked over his shoulder behind them at the shouting men who, at this point, were obviously chasing them. Great. He’d been dragged into whatever mayhem this guy had gotten himself involved in. This was why he didn’t like shopping for groceries; trouble always seemed to find it’s way to him whenever he did so. They only ran for a short while, past the horde of people that hung around the area’s shopping district, few of them giving them annoyed, angry looks as they bumped their way through before the blond in front of him turned them into one of the alvoves between the shops before stopping. He let himself fall back against one of the walls, taking the moment to catch his breath, it seemed that for the moment they lost whoever had been following them. “What the h*ll was that?” He questioned once he’d caught his breath, his attention now on the blond across from him.
“Just some friends. Afraid I’ve upset them.” Still a bit out of breath, he was only able to get a few sentences out before feeling winded. The hits he’d taken probably weren’t helping either.Â
“I’m sorry about getting you involved, but for the time being, it would be wise to stick with me until things are clear.” Should the other land in the hands of those that were chasing him, Leon could imagine that it wouldn’t end well. Glancing around, he was able to see that they hadn’t been found just yet.Â
“I hope you don’t mind laying low.”Â

Cynthia got whiplash from the mans insult that he managed to fire back at her without missing a beat.  Clearly he hadn’t had his morning coffee.  She ran a hand through one of her pigtails and furrowed her brow.  Maybe they did make her look younger, but when you have such an iconic hairstyle you can’t just change it will nilly.
“Hey hey!  I have the best poor taste in movies.  I can see the title of the movie and know just how bad it’s going to be.  I could see half of the face of one of the main cast and know it’ll be a 15% or less on rotten tomatoes.”
“Don’t judge a book by its cover.” But Leon could understand where she was coming from. After a comically red splash of blood splattered across the screen, a cast of D list actors graced the screen, promising that the next hour and a half would be full of cliche and dry plot.Â
“I’d have thought you would have chosen a movie worth watching instead of honing your taste in bad movies.”Â
house hunting || leon & flannel
“Tch, you don’t need a fork to eat it.  Sometimes you have to make do with what you have.  There you go, third lesson of the day.”  Flannel returned to opening drawer and slamming them shut, trying to find something Leon would find acceptable to eat the pasta with.  “Ah…”
“Look what I found!”  In the far corner of the cabinet he found a box of plastic sporks.  “The old owners must’ve missed them when they cleaned the house out.  The box isn’t open, so they should be fine.”  He tossed the box onto the counter and gestured for Leon to open it.
Eyeing the box, Leon read the bold label. Spork. From the sound of the plastic clattering inside the box, it must be linoleum utensils. Opening the box, he took out one of them, curiously bending the end and letting it go. A small twang rang out, and Leon looked back at Flannel.Â
“This is the bastard child of a spoon and a fork.”Â

“Yeah, but, he’d yell at me. And what’s the point? Besides, Godfather, it’s your belated birthday. I didn’t want to stay at home and marathon movies with you. That’s boring!Â
“Getting out and enjoying one another’s company elsewhere is where it’s at. We can watch movies any time, but going to a club together? Almost never.” She shrugs. Her reasoning wasn’t really that concrete, but it was better than nothing.Â
“Anyways, if you’re not going to join me, I guess I’ll just…find myself a dance partner…” With that she goes to stand. Unfortunately in doing so, she accidentally bumps into a lumbering man holding a mug of beer. As soon as the two collide, his drink falls on him.
“Shiiii— I’m so sorry, sir—”
“You little bitch.”
“Since you’re so fond of Godfather, why don’t you just marathon that? Inaccuracies aside, it’s a decent movie.” He and Flannel had spent more than enough time scrutinizing every details of the films. “And besides, he can barely say no to you without crying.”Â
But Leon did appreciate that Velour had tried to make up for missing his birthday, not that he particularly minded that she did. He wasn’t even sure where she’d gotten that information in the first place.Â
As he was mussing, Velour hopped off the stool, and knocked another man’s drink all over his front. Before he could intervene, the man raised a threatening hand, and no sooner had he spit out a curse at Velour, Leon was at his feet.Â
Brushing her behind him, Leon easily knocked the taller man’s hand away, and in the same movement, used his right hand to snake around the other’s wrist before using his left hand to brace against his opponent’s elbow. With a bit more pressure, Leon could have broken the man’s arm at the crook, but he opted to simply slam him into the bar.Â
“Don’t touch her.” Practically hissing, he unceremoniously threw the man aside. No sooner had he hit the floor, Leon grabbed Velour’s hand and guided them out of the building, tossing a wad of cash at the bartender as he passed.Â
As they exited into the cool night air, Leon gave a slight smile. “Sorry to cut our visit short. I wasn’t in a dancing mood.”

“Great!  I refuse to watch any movie lower than 10% because then it’s just hopeless.  13% is the ideal number of rotten tomatoes because usually that means it’s laughably awful.”  Cynthia placed her hands on her lap and leaned over.
“Say, you don’t even look that old yourself.  What if you’re just a 15 year old pretending to be an adult.”  She pointed at the headband in his hair.  “That doesn’t seem like something an adult would wear.”
“You aren’t the image of maturity either. If you’re going for a grade school look, I think you have it.” He did however, adjust the headband as he spoke. He should probably get rid of it; there were unnecessary memories associated with it. But then, they weren’t all ones that he wanted to forget.Â
“Anyways. Lets hope that your poor taste in movies proves to be better than your choice in hairstyle.” Â
house hunting || leon & flannel
“Uh…”  Flannel proceeded to rip open every drawer that looked like it would contain silverware.  He turned to face Leon, giving him a serene smile.  “You haven’t truly lived the bachelor life until you’ve eaten every food item imaginable with your bare hands.”
He checked the pot that contained the pasta sauce.  The tomatoes were slowly breaking up, but Flannel was growing rather impatient and took the spatula he’d been using for the meat and jabbed at them to finish the job.  He took the meat off of the burner and dumped it into the sauce to let them finish cooking together.
“You may be fine with smashing your face into a bowl to eat, but I’ll have to pass for today.” Though the food looked scores better than anything he could have possibly hoped to make alone, Leon set a fine line on what he would and wouldn’t do. His morals may be misplaced, but his pride certainly knew where it stood.Â
Glumly pushing the plate away, Leon sighed and stood up to retrieve an apple. At least that didn’t require using utensils.Â
