One man also enjoying the music spoke to her. “Are you ok? Its kind of late for a young lady your age to be alone. Where is your family?” He keptmhis distance so not to make her feel uncountable. He was an older man with white hair and caring eyes. Some one to talk to.

Annette smiled with all her teeth as she handed her cards back over for them to be reshuffled. She was sure he let her win by a land slide to be nice but it felt good in any manner. “Another round?” A bell tolled 6 times signaling dinner time.

She blinked slightly, not expecting anyone to see her, must less speak to her; she turned her head to the voice, she swallowed a bit, “Yes, I’m fine, sir. And my family is... around.”

Luxord quickly shuffled through the cards and laid them back down, lifting his head up at the bell, “How about another round after we eat?”

“We need to check the barracks for anything else we need. I’m hoping we find snacks.” She turns her focus to starla then leads the way out of the room. She holds the gun in her hands just in case. The gravel crunched under their shoes as they walked. Silance fell between them for the short walk to the barracks. In times like this silance is a better option. Starla took the lead taking slow and careful stepz up the 3 wooden stairs. She squints her eyes to see inside and notices nothing unusal. Giving cyhn a thumbs up she opens the door and enters. Cyhn catches the doormbefore it can close and follows.

The barrack is trashed with papers and blankets thrown about. A blood trail leads to a corpse so mutilated there is no way it would get up. The smell was causing cyhn to lose her appetite but knew they would need some form of food. MREs would be the best in this situation, but even a bag of chips would be great. Cyhn notices a few doffle bags and boxes under beds and begins her search through them.

Starla looked around herself, keeping her shotgun firmly in her hands, she subconsciously took lookout as Cyhn went through bags and such. Her eyes slid over to the corpse a few times, making her swallow hard each time. She walked over to it after awhile, crouching down beside it and looking it over; a shiver ran down her spine as she reached out to it, feeling through what remained of it’s clothes.

The streetz were pretty barren but a few brave souls still romed the streets playing music and singing.

Annette frowned as she had to hand over her second to last card. She grazed over her teeth with her tounge. “Got any queens?” She tried not to smirk sure this would give her the win.

Hexmira sat and listened to the music for a while, slowly starting to enjoy the energetic sounds.

Luxord half-heartedly glared before breaking into a grin and laughing, handing two of his cards over, “You’re good.”

“Yeah, we might need it.” She shifted her weight and entered further into the room and began to look through papers with little interest. “Anything else?” Cyhn stared at a cork board and quickly glanced through the flyers. A photo of a man in uniform with a little girl caught her eye. She picked up the photo and looked at it a little closer. “I hope the guys are ok.” She thought, placing the photo back down.

She shook her head slightly as she fixed her bandana, “Nah, nothing else that we don’t already have.” Starla looked around the room again, making sure she didn’t miss anything. She looked over at Cyhn, watching her place the photo down, “Ya ready to try and get to the next safe house?”

Starla looked around as she folded up a map that was riddled with marker, “Not really...” she tilted her head as she glanced over and some something on the nearby table. Walking over, she lifted the item up, seeing it was an I.D. card of some kind, “I wonder they would have needed this..” she lifted her head up as Cyhn walked in, lifting the card up to her, “Think we should take this with us?”

She panted as she calmly reloaded her shotgun. “I didn’t find one in the armory. I did see med kits but I figured arming ourself was the first step. We should check deeper in there and maybe in the two dorms.” Cyhn forced her hair behind her ears and led the way to the armory. It wasn’t a large building. The door looked mangled from cyhns violent attempts to get in. She went in first and walked past her chainsaw which was also mangled. She pointed to the left sidemof the building where she saw the health kits as she looked for more weapons and ammo. “What ever we take we need to go light.” She crouched finding a small douffle bag.

She nodded, readjusting her bandana as she looked around. She grabbed a backpack that was tossed over towards one of the gun racks; looking through it, she simply dumped it out, finding nothing of use to either of them and started going around putting things from around the room in it. She made sure to test the weight of the bag before placing a med kit on top and closing it; she flung it onto her back as she turned and looked around some more.

She slid the bag back off her back and laid it next to one of the tables along the wall, her interest being peaked by a closed door. She ran her hand over the “authorized personnel” sign before she tried the handle, almost tumbling over at the fact it was unlocked. The room was pitch back, outside of the light from the doorway, which made her grope around the wall next to her for a light switch. She managed to get the lights on, her eyes scanning the small room, “Whoa… I just found the briefing room. There’s maps in here.”

Cyhn didn't leave her spot as she was cleaning out the duffle bag. "Good, grab it." She took her shotgun and a m16 and placed them in the bag. She found canisters of ammo and made straps so they could wear them as belts or on a sash. "Anything else in there?" She called out throughing the bag over her shoulder and headed into the room.

A young woman anxiously sat in a plastic red chair that usually fills doctor offices. The dim light occasionally flickers allowing the grimy walls and floors to become visable. Her right legged is jittering as she sniffs. Her boots are worn from the miles she’s run, her clothes stained with the blood she’s spilt, her body shakes with anticipation.

The door is slammed open catching her attention. The figure standing there steps in from the sunlight so her form becomes clear. Her strawberry hair flaring out from her white cowboy hat. She locks eyes with the sitting woman and tosses her a combat shotgun. She catches it and her finger naturally find their way to their propper place.

She looks back to the standing woman who is gripping her own shot gun. “You ready to kill some more?” The woman’s voice as deep and firm. She nodded and stood. “Lets do this!” They turn and simultaneously pump the barrels of their guns.

They stand in the door way as zombies nasiter looking than before begin to form a horde in their path. One in the front gives them a twisted look of confusion turns to rage as it screams alerting the rest. Its face vanishes in an explosion of a red mist and chuncks. The cowboy hatted woman looks to her friends steaming barrel. Then back to the zombies as they both unload shots into the deformed bodies cutting through them for some goal.

What these women can’t see is the massive hordes heading for them they’ll need more than ammo and determination to make it through this lone road.

Her eyes narrowed as she emptied all the rounds in her shotgun, forcing her to step back a couple of paces and reload with ease and started unloaded them again. As a zombie managed to get close to her, she quickly hit it in the face with the shotgun, watching it’s feeble head cave in and gore fly all over her.

She looked around once they managed to thin the horde out enough, “Do you have any ideas on how far the next safe house is?” she exhaled softly, watching her friend take down the last nearest zombie.

Starla, I'm sure I got the shirt wrong but its baggy due to weight loss. I ment to draw the hair flatter due to likely being very oily and dirty. I gave her a cut on the lip.
