ok let me explain. if the player is popular it’s bad that he’s conservative. if he’s not popular it doesn’t really matter because who cares. if he follows kai trump on instagram it means he’s conservative, but if he is canadian, you can keep posting about him ethically. associating with right-wing figures makes you bad unless you’re just teammates and friends with your buddy who went to the white house, in which case you can still be woke and people are allowed to make gifsets of you. you can even write him breaking up with his chud boyfriend who is actually his good friend in real life. if he didn’t go to the white house it’s ok, so any players who suck are ok to stan. also if your player wasn’t on the team he’s woke even though he has a charity to benefit american military. silence is complicity, unless he’s a hockey player who avoids politics in which case you can keep talking about him. hockey men need to start out in prison and fight their way out but if he’s european or canadian it probably means nothing so the rpf can continue. basically it’s about ethics in hockey posting
