quick tip: all H&M tags like this have lil symbols, either saying RFID in the corner or they have yellow stickers of a circle with waves coming off of it. not all tags are like this, but to stay safe always 1) hold your tags up to a light source when you’re in a dressing room, or 2) look out for any of the symbols/stickers that say they contain RFIDs. if in doubt, tear it off!!!

So I know I’m not popular at all… and that’s kinda the way I like it. But I just wanted to share a tip
Have your bag set up so that if you get caught (I hope not sweetie) you can drop your bag, and you don’t care. I walk into a store- I have my phone in my hand, my keys in my pocket, and my ID card or cash in my front pocket.
The purse I lift with is not my actual purse. That’s in my car. I don’t want to ever be caught with someone holding on to my purse and unable to leave.
The only things I need are on my body. It makes me feel more confident. I have medicine I should have on me, but I leave that too. It’s too risky to have on me basically.
I remember watching this caught video of a lady unable to run because the LP had a hold of her purse and she just had to wait for the cops to show up and arrest her because he wouldn’t give her back her own purse. Screw that. LP tries that I’m so out of there. And usually they can’t touch me so hopefully they would just watch me run and think they have my info…. hopefully. They will want to grab you and hold you to the ground and handcuf you, but that’s because they think they’re important. Anyway- another subject.
I know some people don’t have cars, but I would just think about packing very light on trips, and having anything important on your person at all times.

Ok so first, you’re gonna need a couple things.
-a new email. Dont use your actual name.
-something expensive from lush (I lifted a cardamom coffee perfume.)
You’re going to need this because you don’t have a reciept. Place it on a piece of paper and write “My email is: *insert your fake email*” on the paper and take a photo.
Now, you email lush. My email said this:
I inserted a photo of a random rash and then this one:
After which they sent me an email, asking for my cellphone number and I gave it to them. They called me and I gave them some bullshit lie about how I was ‘so happy to use it because it smelled divine and I love lush so much’ and this was the reply after the call:
I did that one more time with a different rash photo and vanillary perfume on a different email and recieved another gift card which I used online for my recent haul!

Older NaveyBlue: Does indeed tag clothing but is very sloppy and usually you can find something untagged if you look hard enough. Requires a magnet as well. Does employ LP but like H$mn I believe they are regional as well. Just had a close call a few weeks ago with their Lp so I know for a fact that they do actually employ them. I previously thought they didn’t until that situation.

this is advice no one wants to follow, but if you’re not getting a 🧬 or having a hard time getting to cs, sometimes you have to be difficult. do not be afraid to be a karén and insist that the items never arrived. i fumbled a dña by getting the names mixed up a few days ago but i’m still contacting them insisting the package isn’t here, because yk what? these companies make so much damn money and will do whatever it takes to keep people coming back that my $100 purchase being refunded doesn’t really matter. so if they have to give me the refund for me to get out of their hair and end on a good review, they will 🤷🏼♀️
dumpster diving
do y’all have any thoughts on dumpster diving? i’ve been watching tiktoks of folks finding INCREDIBLE stuff in the dumpsters of BBB, B&BW, & others. i know it’s not the same as you going into a store and getting a specific thing, but a lot of the stuff could be sold on like FB marketplace or a local forum for cash. and a lot of it could be given as gifts. or if you have a friend who also needs things, u could start a tiny exclusive FB group of folks who u trust that could dive together. or if you’re diving alone and find a great load of stuff, u can msg the ppl in the group so they can come look thru it.
i really love this idea bc you get the thrill of the find without the anxiety of the lift (honestly the anxiety is the #1 thing that stops me from lifting). and you can still find great things! some of the things i’ve seen people find (this is all brand new): entire bookshelves and desks, a set of dishes, area rugs worth thousands of dollars each, a vacuum, huge $20 candles where the glass is a little chipped, etc.
the tricky thing with this is that the laws vary a lot— in some places, diving is illegal. i’ve personally been struggling to find the specific laws for diving online. but the general rule seems to be that as long as ur not trespassing, you’re fine. another snag could be ur area. i live in a college town and a lot of the dumpsters are just straight up locked.

diving is definitely worth it, but it depends on the store in your area and what youree looking for. i never went out with a goal, but i found 3 large photo frames at m!ch4els, only 1 was broken and another one just needed a little wood glue! drug stores toss out makeup sometimes but you have to be very careful with unopened packages.
lots of stores also (unfortunately) go to great length to make diving harder. theyll spray paint or smash up mirrors, glass and often destroy items before tossing them because they dont want divers to be attracted there.
general rules:
1. check the laws in your area, never attempt to unlock a dumpster and never trespass for a dumpster.
2. be considerate! dont bring a bunch of people expecting a massive haul, just check out places near you first and only take what you need!
3. dont worry about other people. ive gone diving in the middle of the day and i dont care if a stranger sees me hop into the garbage. depending on the laws in your area, you may have to look out for police, but they shouldnt cause too much trouble so long as youre not trespassing or messing up the place.
4. leave the dumpster looking the same, if not better, than when you got there! dont throw things outside of the dumpster while diving and pick up any extra trash around it if you can! companies get very impatient with dumpster divers that leave a mess, so dont do it, or the dumpster will probably get locked up one day!
5. protect yourself! latex or rubber gloves are a must, lysol wipes or sanitiser, masks of course, waterproof shoes (or ones you dont care about), small garbage bags or an old backpack will be good for taking your haul home before you get the chance to clean the items! if youre concerned about personal safety bring a small knife or call someone on the phone while youre diving. the safest way is to go with a partner!
if your friends arent divers and dont want to hop in with you, thats alright! ask if they can be a lookout just to check out whats in the dumpster! they dont have to do any diving :)

I go diving regularly and flip my finds for cash! I’ve also furnished all my apartments with dumpster furniture and like 10-20% of my current wardrobe is stuff I grabbed from the trash. It does genuinely make me feel great to find great items and keep them from rotting in a landfill. Eco friendly and free shit? Score. ok, I did an order and then straight after saw this post, so I know I couldn't do a dna. I said that the order was a goey mess, that I was giving it to my sister, and that I had to buy replacements off of amazon. they then said they were sending sending me replacements. I emailed them back saying that I understood if they couldn’t give me a refund, but I didn’t need more stuff, and got then I got a refund.
as far as I can tell, glossier policy is now to reship. if you want to get a refund you have to have a good reason, and it probably has to go by a manager. which is the case literally everywhere, so, you might as well go somewhere else.

False Bottom Mod Technique
Hey y'all, if you’re into magic cups or making false double linings filled with foil this may be of help.
I’m not great at making my own modifications, but this video should open up the door to creation. Watch this YouTube video if you want, and see the possibilities!
⭐️ ⭐️ in summary, this video shows a guy with a mod suitcase with a false bottom. he places his “suitcase” on top of unsuspecting passengers bags and he is able to snatch them up without even touching them. It works because he built a false bottom on his suitcase that works like a flap door. When placed on top of the item, the doors swing open allowing it inside but do not allow it back out!! Obviously this scam involves stealing purses and is unethical, butttttt the concept of a false bottom could really help us lifters out- especially those of us with a knack for mods.

🌺 So, here’s my idea 🌺
Get yourself a structured purse with a wide bottom. Maybe buy multiple so you can perfect a prototype. Figure out a way to replicate the effects of the video, it could take some time and some effort. If you figure out a way to design it, this would be incredible. Think about it. You could go to sêphora and lay down some items you want on a counter. Place them so that they’re standing up, and casually place your structured purse on top of the items. While your purse has snatched the items FOR YOU, simply try on makeup in the mirrors, make a decoy call, or swatch something for fun. Then, when you’re done, lift up your purse. If done right, LP will be PUZZLED. It will seem like you set your purse down and picked it right up, and it will literally create a disappearing act.
I’m personally going to try this in my spare time! If I come up with a good enough design that allows me to pick up items and keep them contained I will share it with you, only by DM.
i was reading LP job reviews for a department store i’ve been interested in and the review mentioned having to follow the “5 step rule”. of course, take this with a grain of salt. not every store follows this protocol and often, when LP have quotas to make they will risk and break the rules. but this information was good to know.
