I know there have been countless times when I’ve read a fic and wanted to share it, or come across a song that made me think of them, because they live rent free in my mind. I’m hoping this server can be a place to share your art, your writing and your ideas about them, and hopefully make friends along the way.

After everything is done, Castiel and Jimmy meet in heaven.

Jimmy looks just the same as the day he died, so young and small. He stares at the angel and feels wonder at how much he’s changed. His eyes are warmer, more compassionate, his posture looser. He feels so human.

He kept Jimmy’s body this whole time. But now, he looks older. Jimmy wonders if this is what he would have looked like were he given the chance to age. The clothes he’s wearing are different, but also almost the same as the ones Jimmy picked out all those years ago. It feels like an eternity has passed. Jimmy wonders if Castiel thought of him when he chose to keep his image.

Castiel told him Jimmy would never age, but the angel has aged. There are wrinkes on his forehead, at the corners of his eyes, eyelids heavy with sorrow, no longer wide and impassive. Jimmy wonders what Castiel has experienced since his death to change him so much.

Amelia has told him many stories. About Claire, their shared turmoil, her endless search for him… And of Castiel, coming to save her from one of the angels preying on her grief. Amelia, too, noticed how different he was. Remorseful. Jimmy wonders is he fulfilled his promise, and took good care of his baby Claire. Amelia seemed to think he would.

Jimmy steps closer to the angel. Instead of wondering, now, face to face for the first time, he has the chance to ask.

((this is related to my ruby/jessica fic rubatosis, where jess makes a deal with ruby to keep sam alive. Written for the prompt "kneel" on the archangels discord server))

When Jessica says yes, it sounds nothing like Ruby had imagined. She had expected a whimper, a desperate sound from the back of the girl's throat, like the ones that doomed souls made as they saw their hellhound. If she was feeling generous, perhaps a resigned acquiescence - a tired sort of yes, one that said get it over with and let me fucking rest.

When Jessica says yes, it sounds like victory. Like achieving a purpose. Like protection, like liberation.

It sounds like how Ruby would say yes.

And Ruby watches as her eyes fill with pure Light, one that burns her to her core, that both chases away and reveals her impurity in all of its depths. Still, she watches, as Jessica throws her head back, as the night lights flicker outside, as the world Changes.

Ruby falls to her knees. Watches, watches, watches.

Picture this: the room is dark again. The floor scratches your knees, your eyes are probably bleeding, and it is a glorious sort of pain. The God before you rolls Her new head, and blond hair cascades down Her shoulders. And finally, finally, that pure Light looks down at your body, broken for Her.

Her head tilts.
