Hey so this is not quite true. I mean the tracking stuff is true, but it is not the case that everything after ? is for tracking. They are called query-string parameters, and they do all sorts of things (it’s up to the web site to interpret them), including changing what links do in some cases.

Simple example:

`https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ`: a nice link to a lovely music video on YouTube (no tracking parameters either, in that one, as it happens)

`https://m.youtube.com/watch`: YouTube home page
