I've been thinking that there are two likely outcomes coming up in Dandadan regarding Momo and Okarun's relationship. The most likely imo is that Okarun is the only person who remembers Momo until the curse is lifted and when they reunite they have a big emotional moment. The less likely outcome imo is that Okarun DOES forget Momo for a bit and once he remembers he beats himself up for forgetting while Momo doesn't hold it against him and that gets parlayed into them having a heart-to-heart about it

i was thinking about this the other day haha. although i do think okarun could beat himself up, we’ve seen him grow a lot recently where he’s less focused on attacking himself mentally, and more focused on just being better. or maybe it’s more like he’s just trying to solve issues that come his way the best he can without spending too much time hating himself haha.

anyways that aside i was thinking if it went down the route of okarun forgetting momo we’d get to see what it’d truly look like without her. okarun might be asking himself what’s missing from his life? why did it change so suddenly? then ofc he and the gang would do something to bring momo back, maybe just remembering her is enough to do it. then momo and okarun tearfully rejoice and i can just picture momo saying, “you remembered me!” and okarun responding, “how could i forget the one i fell in love with.”

that would be peak, but this is more of a headcanon/guess of what could happen LOL. maybe we’ll see something similar at least. i also picture that the entire history and culture research club (we need to call it something else guys) might have some sort of empty feeling they can’t explain, or maybe just the og possessed ones (okarun, aira, and jiji) will remember momo in some way. idk just my thoughts on it.

it does make me wonder the conditions of the curse. will zuma stay blind? will toru die of old age? obviously they probably won’t, but i’m not sure what’ll happen to them along side momo disappearing.
