for aromantic visibility day, here's a bit about a bunch of my aromantic OCs !!

Nox is aromantic (aroace) - that's quite integral to their story, and in fact was part of the very first concept for that story i came up with. it's the reason they're immune to the mind control that the Big Bad is using to take over the world

Ross (Ooze) is aromantic, though they haven't really thought about it for the most part - it simply has not come up and they have bigger things to worry about, like the team of wannabe supervillains that know their name and address

Topaz Morgan is aromantic (acearo, aplatonic, afamilial - loveless) and strictly nonpartnering, which is why they were living (happily) alone in an apartment before moving into their late aunt and uncle's house to take care of their much younger cousins (which for some reason was specified in their aunt's and uncle's wills, even though everyone knows they can't handle kids? anything's better than letting topaz's mom attempt to parent more kids, they suppose)

Merry might well be aromantic - they're not really sure

Lucille is definitely aromantic, though she didn't have a word for it till she'd been dead for nearly 80 years (hey, there are some benefits to haunting)

Grey is aromantic (aroallo), though they live with a bunch of their friends, which is both fortunate (the horrors seem to subside when Poet is nearby) and unfortunate (all their friends are starting to notice the concerning noises at odd hours and the fact that Grey's cat Jackson doesn't seem to move right or even to be mortal any longer)

Poet is also aromantic. He is too full of wonder and whimsy at the world for any of that romance nonsense. He considers his housemates his queerplatonic polycule, which they might reciprocate if he literally ever used those words instead of waxing poetic about how all of them are like stars in a constellation on a journey through time

Augden is aromantic! Or greyromantic, at least. He can't quite tell between platonic and romantic - his platonic love is just so strong! He's pretty worried about Grey. They have been acting so strangely recently and he wonders if it's because he offhandedly told them he loved them (he meant it platonically but maybe they think he was coming on to them?) (they didn't even hear him, they were too busy running off to fight the horrors)

Jay would probably call themself aromantic if they weren't so distracted all the time. Not really by their story so much as they are very scatterbrained

most of the rest of my OCs that i have put any amount of myself into are also aromantic in some capacity - i just cannot fathom being fully alloromantic, so i just sort of hit everybody with the aromantic beam so i don't have to think about it...

this is merry, who is rather depressed largely because of [major spoilers]. they would tell you it's because theyre hopelessly restless and need to be anywhere but here

i entirely intended and completely forgot to add their cat-slash-guardian Tucker to this drawing

the veil between life and death, as merry has found (though not by any usual means), is not void white, nor black as night, nor even an etherial and dignified grey, but is, in fact, a rather disappointing shade of mauve

keep seeing people posting like "here are all my ocs :3" (and it's like 4-7 characters) and being like I SHOULD POST ALL MY OCs but that would be.... hoo....

so here's all (well, a good chunk) my ocs off the top of my head

i've already posted about alex and nox and avery, and in their story there's also both their parents, alex's brother jacob, Reverend and Mrs. Wilson, and a host of side characters and other characters that aren't in the story anymore. they're dealing with some sort of mass hypnosis apocalypse and grappling with religion and gender

i've also got ocs in a couple major IPs: Spark TADC; and Sunflower Blaze, Loveless, Finch, and Inky MLP:FIM

there's also topaz morgan's story, with eris, todd, and murphy, and also their entire extended family (topaz's mom and dad, great aunts, grandparents, in-laws...), where it turns out the morgan family was hiding some pretty whacky secrets in a sort of reverse-series-of-unfortunate-events scenario (from the perspective of the extended family member who has to take care of the newly orphaned children)

the Midnight Bus world has Merry, Lucille, Lacy, and Dee, and Merry's mom and cat, where Merry grapples with the meaning of life and death via falling into the afterlife (without dying)

we've got the adventuring polycule (?) of Torpor, Ignus, Amira, Tobias, and Selene, a rough and tumble band of adventurers who have their loyalties and bonds tested as one of their own starts turning into a demon or something

we've got my entire pantheon of superheroes/villains, some major players being Sparrow, Nightsong, Shadow Dragon, Aviator, Dragon (no relation), Kinetica, Ooze, Veil, Eviscerator, Pandemonium, Thundergirl, Feedback.... the list goes on, and that's not even starting to get into non-super side characters.

we've got Grey, Augden, Jackson, Poet, the demon, Storm, and Leisl, trapped in a long, drawn out battle between the very forces of nature (my first foray into attempting some form of horror)

then there's always one of the very earliest of my ocs, jay (who has gone through so many iterations), a young child thrust into magical geopolitics of a world divided, mostly by virtue of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, but partially by virtue of being a weird little child with magic that doesn't quite fit in rigid boxes (they are 10 years old because that's just how young i was when i first started conceptualizing their world with my sibling)

you've also got the literal dozens of godly pantheons on moonworld, which i'm not even gonna try to list

...that's most of what i've been working on recently. i went to try and count the (largely) abandoned drafts in my writing folder some time ago and gave up at some point after I passed a hundred. how the heck does everyone have like. 7 OCs tops.

drew alex again :3

he gets fatter every time i draw him and i think this is wonderful enrichment for him. he looks more like himself this way

i think this drawing might be post-canon, when he's had more time to figure himself out, but that said ive written like maybe 2% of canon and planned maybe 30% so. maybe he gets to be this happy before the end idk

i'll have to actually yap about who these people are at some point so you all will have any idea what im talking about

been super busy with moving but ANYWAY. allow me to yap about uhhhh well i cant tell you what the world's called because it's a word i made up so that might like doxx me but. for the purposes of this blog let me call it... moonworld (inside joke about where the actual name came from + it has four (and occasionally five) moons).

well i was gonna yap about something else but y'know, let's yap about those moons -

the moon that appears largest from the surface is Frostt, which is made up almost entirely of a translucent crystal that looks like (but is not) ice. it looks so eerie in the way it refracts light that in some regions it's known as the cursed moon, and is an ill omen.

the one that is actually the largest in terms of mass and volume is called Everren. larger even than Earth's moon, Everren has the largest effect on the tides of any of the moons. it appears pale silver. under the surface it contains large deposits of heavy metals. it is known in many regions as the guardian of the night, protecting against evil (and Frostt).

ariandus is uh. kinda boring. it's pinkish and often associated with romance. its orbital path takes it significantly closer and farther from the planet at different times of year, which is sometimes said to affect the strength of love or something.

but FALLENMIST is cool. it's where one of the elder gods lives, with her army of souls who have pledged their loyalty to her even in death. she used to be one of the most caring of the elder gods but sort of got jaded after centuries of mortals repeating their terrible history (and after, as far as she knows, one of her siblings was killed and the other two left her). it's actually habitable, with an atmosphere and plant life and liquid water oceans. it's fairly dim in the sky of moonworld, with great swathes of deep green foliage rendered blueish by its atmosphere, and a shining halo surrounding it. sometimes clouds obscure its surface, leading to more light being reflected off it and a brighter moonworld night.

the fifth moon is slightly misaligned with reality, causing it to only appear on this plane every once in a real long while. many consider it a myth in the age of expansion (the sort of primary of several eras i usually address directly).

the four regular moons orbit moonworld Just So in a way that keeps moonworld's south pole perpetually tilted slightly towards its star, rendering the very southernmost regions of the southernmost continent uninhabitably hot (except, maybe, for some dragons).
