when Running Man is just beginning, they were all awkward, they were still finding their right place on the show, but there was someone who balance them all, it's Yoo Jae Suk, it's not because he was just entitled to become an mc of the show, but because he knew some of the cast, he knew HAHA from infinity challenge, he knew Suk Jin because they are close friends, and Jong kook because of Family Outing and they both knew the staff which is the same staff of Family Outing, so from the very beginning Running Man is balance in some ways.
But now they like family that always stick together and bickers and argue with each other, yes RM is just a show, but they have been teaching me a lot of things that i am really thankful for even though they don't know that i even exist.
I've watch the HURRY UP! BROTHER today, cause i wanted to give them a chance since (this is base on what i've read on some news) the PD's and production team is involved in the Chinese version too.
Since it doesn't have an english sub yet i didn't understand the conversation between the cast, so i focused on the games/challenges,
you can see the Running Man Theme is there, the challenges, the captions, everything, BUT, I guess for me RUNNING MAN is RUNNING MAN because of the CAST and STAFF not because of the challenges, yes the mission and theme of RM gives a big impact to the cast but the BOND of the cast and staff, what they went trough, not only the challenges and mission of the show, but also the challenges they went trough as friends, as an artist and as a human being.
I won't ever forget the time when Joong Ki left the show, or the time where Ji Hyo couldn't make it because she was in and out of the hospital, the surgery Jong kook went trough, Gary's hiatus, Myuk PD leaving RM,
But I won't also forget the positive things that happen to the show and the cast and crew, winning awards her and there for the RM or their personal shows, Jong Ki guesting on RM because he is family so he'll keep coming back, Ji Hyo showing us that she really deserves the title of an ACE on and off the screen, HAHA GETTING MARRIED and Having a child is the biggest and happiest news i've heard in RM, there's a lot of positive things that happen to them because of RM and because they were together.
what i'm trying to say and what i just realized after watching the Chinese version is that RUNNING MAN WOULD NOT BE THE SAME WITHOUT KIM JONG KOOK, YOO JAE SUK, SONG JI HYO, KANG GARY, SONG JOONG KI, LEE KWANG SOO, JI SUK JIN and HA DONG HOON and together with the staff of RM.
Yes Hurry up Brother is the Chinese Version of RUNNING MAN indeed, Yes they have the supports of the cast of RM and some of the fans,
but Running Man is Running Man and Hurry up Brother is Hurry up Brother, they share the same theme but they are two completely different show.
