As much as Kenta's exclusion from Masters upsets me, it does make his arc in Fury stronger because Kenta actually was just a cheerleader in Masters. His feelings of worthlessness and being ignored have been building for a whole season now so of course they hit a boiling point when he doesn't become a legendary blader, thus feeling like he can't help his friends in a way that matters, in a way they value. The show is almost proving that Kenta is right to feel useless and that is horribly depressing. It's really no wonder he feels the need to put his life in danger by following Ryuga.
