So… Who does one turn to in order to have this kind of lighting everywhere?
Just remember that no one takes one selfie and just look amazing every time. We all have crappy days, weeks, months, years where we don’t feel and/or look so good. Stop looking at fitness models and thinking that it’s possible to look like that all year round in a healthy natural way. They prep for photo shoots for months, how long do you prep for your selfie? ;)
This is about the best I can look without changing too much of my life and my routines.. And I don’t really care how could I can look for one week, I want to look good, and feel great for life..
Just give it your all and be happy with yourself, you deserve it!!

1. I can afford the top meal. It costs roughly $4.80 while the bottom costs upwards of $15-20. $15 is a lot of money to have all at one time, even if there will be leftovers. Not everyone will have access to that lump sum.
2. The top meal requires no preparation. If I am already out of my house, I can buy it without having to cut up any of the foods, arrange them, or cook them myself. I don’t even have to worry about having my own dishes or needing to wash them afterward.
3. The top meal requires no storage. There is little chance of having leftovers, therefore I don’t have to worry about the extra food going bad before I have the opportunity to eat it. With the bottom meal, I need to have a working refrigerator, space in my cupboard, as well as a working knowledge of how each different food needs to be stored. I’m out of luck if I don’t have enough space or storage containers for each item.
4. Visiting a fast food restaurant, even for a few minutes, means that I have access to bathrooms, heating/air conditioning, running water, wi-fi, electric outlets, a safe place to sit, and often a place for children to safely play. It provides me with an environment which is comfortable and protected, as well as one where I can eat my food and rest for an extended period of time. I cannot sit around a supermarket and expect the same sort of resources.
Eating healthy is a difficult process. One choice will not always be better than the other - While everyone knows that fast food is not incredibly healthy or good for the body, it is still useful and accessible to many people. There’s nothing wrong with eating it. Sometimes we have to accept that it genuinely is the better choice for certain situations.
I hate this because 1) it’s cheaper to be vegan 2) crack me open a can of beans man. Or maybe an Apple , fruit, literally their are so many things you can eat that doesn’t take any time to prepare :l 3) *eats all the beans so there is no leftovers* also who says u need to have leftovers??? Or like that’s a bad thing. Maybe clean out your fridge? 4) literally there are so many better places to go that have bathrooms and shit that is better than mcdonald’s
1. No, veganism is not inherently cheaper. Food deserts exist, not all communities have access to farmer’s markets or cheap produce, and not everyone’s health allows for veganism (or vegetarianism) without strict supervision and lifestyle modification.
2. None of those options provide the nutritional value or caloric content of a full meal. While a can of beans or a single apple may be an option for you, many people cannot solely eat that because they either do not have access to produce/goods of that variety, they need more calories, they experience allergies, or they have differing dietary needs. Such a meal is not going to be healthy or safe for everyone.
3. The first meal presented on the bottom contains a single slice of bread: It is not possible to purchase that without having leftover slices that then need to be saved and stored, or they will go to waste. The same can be said about the oatmeal, avocado, cereal, banana, kiwis, chicken, olives, tomatoes and multitude of other items displayed. The only way that most people have access to these foods is to buy them in quantities larger than a single meal, therefore the option of simply eating it all isn’t available. No one is going to eat an entire loaf of sliced bread in one sitting, nor should they be expected to.
4. There are not better facilities available in all communities, nor in all lifestyles, nor in all accessible areas. Many people have limited transportation, money and security. A fast food joint may be the safest and attainable location possible. That’s okay.
Overall: If veganism works for you, that is genuinely wonderful! I’m glad that you’ve found a diet you can support both in terms of your health and morality. But everyone is in a different situation and the same diet will not universally apply. If the above statements regarding fast food do not work for you, then please at least take a step back and accept that other people (who practice other lifestyles in other communities and are under other pressures and experience other needs) may find that fast food is genuinely the better option for them. Both diets can coexist.
i just bought 2 weeks of healthy groceries for $25......Price matching my friends.
Also, I work at a small grocery store and every single family that comes in and buys only junk food/frozen dinners spends a whopping $300-400 for less than 5 people and it doesn’t last 2 weeks (we have a lot of regular customers). Every healthy family that comes in spends less than half of that. I also noticed that most people who are unhealthy spend excessive amounts on food because they do not eat by serving size. Which of course makes sense because GI levels and lack fiber in most unhealthy food.
My mom spends $800/month on 4 generally unhealthy people for groceries and I (moved out) spend no more than $65/month unless I have to stock up on bulk basics that I ran out of.
I hear “I don’t eat healthy because it’s expensive” all of the time and it is a poor excuse to not take care of your only body. You’re shopping wrong. :\
(This of course, doesn’t apply to everyone, but it does to the majority of people who eat very unhealthy)
