Dear my younger self. I’m sorry you had to suffer so much and felt so alone. But not to worry, because 11 years later you are not alone. That wish you had of having that co worker that would laugh at your jokes did happen. Not the same person, but people that would get you. That got your sense of humor and personality. That understood when you needed accommodations and were happy to oblige.

As it turned out, we were actually ADHD and Autistic. So those crying fits you had at work from a bullying co-worker? Meltdowns. Completely valid meltdowns. You lived a lot of your life being invalidated. Your needs dismissed. Your overreactions laughed at. Those people didn’t understand. They didn’t get it. You never deserved to be treated that way.

So your dad who said you would never amount to anything was wrong.

Your mom that just waved you away and dismissed even your achievements, was cruel.

Your step mom that belittled you and made you feel incompetent because you weren’t just like her, was toxic.

Your brother and sister in law that mocked you when you found something you had skill in, were awful.

Your special needs teacher that yelled at you and told you to keep crying because no one cared, was abhorrent

That co worker that was indeed wretched, was ableist.

And you didn’t deserve a single second of it.

But even though I weep what we could have been if we had the support we needed back then. I wonder what we could have accomplished with that college scholarship. What trajectory would I have gone to put those 4 years into actual use.

I don’t know.

But today I know I enjoy helping people. I like making people smile and laugh. Maybe us in kindergarten weren’t completely off when we said we wanted to be a clown. We are indeed clowning around. We can at least now share our suffering and trauma to help kids overcome their struggles. Because those kids that are autistic and adhd that are being laughed at and bullied. We understand their feelings. We understand more than anything we just wanted validation and to be told it was going to be ok. We hear you. We see you. We’ve got your back.

Note, the “crying boy”, as I called it because i couldn’t draw breasts, was drawn in 2008. Not exactly 10 years a part each. But I wanted to hug my young self. As I’m realizing my Audhd diagnosis and therapy. I’m realizing how much trauma I’ve actually endured. Now I’m kind of grieving what could have been. But like i said, I’m able to help others now because of my past.

Meiko and Reina have the same actress in the dubs, Cristina Vee. The fact i made a meme a few months ago joking pristimon is a discount meicoomon is hilarious.

I love Tomoro but I wish the series gave more love to the other characters Makoto got his own arc but in retrospect that felt like a way to show Tomoro The Way to digivolution. And Reina hasn't had her own arc yet, or at not one she hasn't had to share with Tomoro. Well...Wolvermon has to evolve someday. Holding out hope that we'll see some Reina character development in the future I am starved for Reina content. As much as I love beatbreak, it still has the classic problem of sidelining the girls. I was a girl when I first became obsessed with digimon! Girls like digimon! Show some love to your girl fans, Bandai! Say what you will about Ghost Game but it had Ruli taking a leadership role in the missions and that was cool.

Same. I really like having a hot headed girl again. I hope we get to see the other characters more now that tomoros story arc is a bit complete with an evolution

It's funny being both a pokemon and a digimon fan simultaneously because my favourite pokemon character is a polite, kind, soft-spoken girl with a cat mon and my favourite digimon character is also a polite, kind, soft-spoken girl with a cat mon.

All right. so here are my thoughts on Inori. After watching the whole playthrough of the game(may have missed some stuff if I was skimming), I feel like she really only existed to just move Aegiomon's story. And with realizing that, I couldn't help to think. "So this is why people hated Meiko. I can understand where they are coming from now"

Am I still low key obsessed with Meiko after all these years? Why yes, yes I am.

Anyway. But what I felt separated the two is Inori said she wanted to be more helpful and do something. But never did. She was just simply the "GIrl that needed to be protected." Now, at the end of the story I can see why that subtitle exists. But it still bothered me.

Because with Meiko I felt she did try to better herself. She chose to chase after Meicoomon instead of running away from her problems in part 3, she stood up and admitted her flaws in part 4, even being a reasoning voice for Sora. She went into battle in part 5 and tried to reason with her partner and continued to go to the digital world. My paraphrasing, she high key was ready to fight mysterious man in part 6 when Ordinemon still wasn't returned to Meicoomon after Tailmon was saved.

Also low key felt Lillie from Pokemon Sun/Moon with "I wish I could be more like you." But even Lillie had her own arc in that series.

Thoughts? Is Inori more poorly written in your mind?

I must admit, I had lots of fun drawing these panels. Imagining them as teens, thinking about how they would spend their free time hanging together, realizing (or maybe not) their crushes. Right, Ken? Also. Drawing the baby digimon is a joy for me, they are just too cute. I love them very, very much. And about love... Thank you everyone for your likes, reblogs and comments!
