Well, that depends on how you look at it. Humans also use chulls to power machines, like carts and mills, but you don't think that's evil, do you? Common spren are like chulls: Animalistic, in a manner. It's not any more evil to work them than it is to work a chull. Does that make sense? Maybe I'm just rambling.

Renarin Kholin! I am blessed to have found you! I am conducting deep research into the effectiveness of Surge Fabrials, and I need your input on the Surge of Illumination. I've already built Gravitation, Adhesion, Abrasion, Division, and Transformation fabrials and studied the Oathgate's Transportation fabrials, but Lightweaving escapes me. Lightspren and Liespren are both Nahel and therefore off-limits, so... any ideas?

uhh. you could say that. its usually used in less formal and less compassionate settings. If I said "I fucking love you" that'd be weird because while it technically is an emphasis it's a more casual one. "I fucking hate the highstorms" is good and normal because it's casual. so no, Kaladin is not fucking good friend unfortunately

I'm sure the Aimians think I'm evil for venturing to Akinah, but we needed the Soulcasters and the Shardplate and all the gemstones and they weren't using them. In contrast, people in Thaylenah and Azir would find me a hero for GETTING them those Soulcasters. It's all a matter of perspective, really. *pulling out notebook and scribbling* Very good! You're quite a healthy specimen! Your plates are very flexible, which is ideal. You did great!

You have grown very healthy! But, if I may, quite small. It appears, according to this handy detector fabrial here, that you've gone your whole life without bonding a single luckspren, which means you can't grow any larger or your very healthy shell would... crush your friendly chasmfiend bones. Not ideal.
