(Headcanon) After aeons Melkor was allowed to leave the void once, under guidance of Manwë, just  to see his beloved Maia one last time…who's lying in the tomb of the fallen Maiar souls. Finally!! But what did they do to him? Hasn't he been all a Maia could be? The most loyal servant ever? …Melkors heart overflew with desperation thinking about that! Oh could these burning red eyes just look up to him for a last time…he would tell him that he always loved him and that he appreciated every thing Mairon did.. When Mairon opened his weak eyes, he couldn't believe what he saw…was it him? Did his beloved Vala came to see him? To hold him? Or was it just a dream ..lying in that dark tomb for eternity, not able to do anything, trapped in a rotten fana…his existence and all that happened seemed like a dream. No matter what he did, he would never forget these dark eyes.. for which he did it all…just to fail.. He wouldn't be worth being held by Melkor ever again…
