Unfollow me right now if you donāt think:
Digimon are digital monsters
Digimon are the champions
Digimon change into digital champions to save the digital world
Pre-nap me: gosh I'm just a lil bit sleepy I could use me a lil nappy nap
Post-nap me: why.... Why do I exist in this world.... How do I know what is real... What is the truth.... I'm so thirsty
i am begging my american followers to learn about tax brackets
Especially how they disincentivize growth and upward mobility.
you have not learned about tax brackets
alright i got this reply so fast i think i need to address this explicitly. tax brackets do not mean you will make less than before when you get a raise! say your income is taxed at 20% but have a 30% tax bracket starting at $10k, this means all the money you make up to 10k is taxed at 20%! anything above that, minus 10k, is taxed at 30%. the $10k you made remains at 20%, unaffected by the higher tax bracket. if you made exactly $10k youāll have $8k after taxes; if you made $11k thatās 10k at 20% and 1k at 30%, so $8700! you should never turn down a raise because of tax brackets!
it surprised me when i learned this! but it also surprised me that i didnāt already know it because it seems so obvious in retrospect! itās almost as ifā¦some peopleā¦profit from us not knowing it
there's something stupid going inside my head

āLouis was used to getting up for his morning walk at 10. Schedule changed and morning walk time is now 6am. He was not emotionally prepared for this.ā
