A Wonder Trade Story.
I used to have a family. A huge family, we lived on route 2. I always knew to stay away from trainers. I would hear horror stories from my older family members. How if you see a trainer, especially one that isn't just starting off, to just stay away from it. They said they'll send you to a horrible place. I always just thought it was some dumb story. I knew about trainers catching pokemon, and then training them. I talked to other pokemon around the area and they always talked about how a trainer could become your best friend! Trainers were exciting, and a bit scary. They constantly taook members of my family away, I knew it would be soon enough one would come for me. I was right.
It was about midday when a trainer was walking around in the tall grass. I tried to stay away, but it's hard to see in the tall grass. The older family members all went to try and scare it away. It didn't work. I just kept seeing flashes of red light, over and over. I felt so helpless just watching my family, one by one be taken away from me. I then chose not to just watch anymore. I ran at the trainer with all my might. I could see he had a fully evolved pokemon out, but it's not one I've ever seen. It was so scary. Large teeth, a long tail, all completely black with blue flames coming from its mouth and tail. As soon as the trainer saw me I knew it was too late. A ball suddenly was thrown my away, and it sealed tightly. I couldn't break it open. I was caught, but at least I'd be with my all my family that had been taken away from me.
It was dark for a while. I never knew it would be so dark in pokeballs...I guess it's so you could sleep. I slept for so long, I don't even remember being traded. My eyes rapidly open when I hear a voice. "Ughhh, a Zigzagoon?! Why do people only put trash pokemon in Wonder Trade now?!" I look up to see a whole different person. I didn't even know where I was anymore. "I'm not keeping this one!" Suddenly it was dark again. I heard weird noises coming from outside. Suddenly the only thing I could see was another pokemon, looking over at me. I waved to it as we switched positions. It just sadly looked down. I was then presented to another totally new trainer, in a totally new area. I saw the dissapointment in her eyes when she saw it was me. All she did was sigh before she sent me into the dark again.
I can't even count how many times I've been sent back though what I now know is called Wonder Trade. I've seen so many new pokemon, I even saw a few of my family members for a split second. They seemed just as sad as I did. The endless going from one trainer to the next, just to be thrown back in there. I guess I am a trash pokemon.....I guess I suck....I've heard so many trainers say that to me lately it must be true.
"Not another Zigzagoon!"
"Damn it! Another wasted wonder trade!"
"Why doesn't anyone put anything good in here?!"
"All I get is trash Zigzagoons. I don't know why I try."
Each face breaks my heart. Until I came acrossed the face of a young trainer coupled with an older one. At this point I was ready to be thrown back into the darkness, when I heard:
"Look Mommy! It's so cute! Look at it! Look!"
"But baby it's just a Zigzagoon, I already have one of these." The mother said to the son, that same look of disapointment in her eyes. "I'm only letting you have one pokemon, why don't you pick a better one?"
The boy just shakes his head and picks me up. "No! I want this one! He is so cute and he came right to me! This is the one I want!"
The mother just laughs and pats the boys head. "Fine, but you better take care of it."
"OH! BOY! I will!" The boy smiles brightly as he hugs me tight. Wait, someone actually wants me? Over another pokemon? I mean he could send me back and get something so much stronger, so much bigger, maybe even one of a strange color, but no he wants me.
I was so happy with the boy, he was always with me. Be battled together. We did things called Pokemon Contests, even won a few! The best thing was he loved to pet me and feed me cupcakes! I was so happy. Every once and a while his mom would put me in what she called a P.C. box, but at least it wasn't dark there, and it was full of so many other pokemon. I was happy with that little boy.
Then came the time the little boy stoped coming. I was in that P.C. box for so long, I can't even remember. Then his Mom came. She pulled me out. I could handle the darkness of the pokeball now because, I knew I would be let out soon. This time I wasn't. I then heard the familure sound. Oh no....not again...
Back into the endless darkness I went.
